    Pros +

    • The room was clean and very nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the river & a very nice little balcony.
    • Perfect little inn next to the river but lack of AC was hard considering the heat wave France was having . The hotel did provide a table top fan which was helpful . The bed was comfortable but the thick duvet was too much considering the heat . A sheet alone would have been better .
    • Location. Easy to find. Helpfulness of staff.

    Cons -

    • The room had a very nice window wall with a glass door that opened up onto the balcony. Unfortunately, the room layout with the larger bed did not allow for the door to be opened up all the way to take advantage of any breeze coming off the river (it was a very hot month). Even with the limited opening of the door, with no screen door we had to watch having lights on at night so as to not attract insects when we had the door open.
    • Lack of AC but that was our fault as we did not think it was going to be so hot in mid June .
    • Disappointed in breakfast which was expensive for what it was.

Fabulous room with an amazing view of the river. Loved the covered balcony. Host was amazing. He upgraded our room and helped us locate local stores and then provided plates, cutlery and glasses for our picnic dinner overlooking the river. We were able to sit in comfort despite the pouring rain!

    Nothing. All excellent.

Staff helpful and friendly. Good location with river view ( in parts of the hotel) . Relaxed atmosphere.

My 'city' view was the back of a hedge 2 metres away! The breakfast was indifferent.

Nice location, good breakfast, room with balcony .

Hotel looked tired and in need of decoration. No facilities in room such as fridge, kettle etc

The hotel is located on the main road from Auray and was easy to see. English was spoken at reception most of the time. Our bed was comfortable. We expected to be upstairs but we had wide steps down to our room. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had a balcony and a view over the water, which was lovely, although wet weather prevented us from using the balcony. We didn't expect a balcony or being downstairs.

There were only three small lamps for lighting the room. As someone else has said, there is wifi but no internet access. Luckily we had our own.

This is the second time we stayed and we will stay again! It is a great location and the rooms are huge with a great view! The hotel is walking distance to the village and very quiet at night.

The breakfast is simple but fine. We opt for it so we can start our day and not have to worry about going to town for breakfast.

Good location for village centre and local facilities such as bars, shop and boulangerie.

    8JanePosted on: 6-3-2024

Breakfast is lovely, especially eaten on the terrace with the beautiful views. The private outside seating area to the bedroom is very nice to enjoy during the day and evening.Parking is good. The hotel is well located just a short walk away from restaurants, bars, shops, visiting market, harbour and Riverside walks.

The tiny, dark, enclosed shower cubicle.

Had a room with veranda and as everyone else says a view to die for Free parking Breakfast ok but not fantastic

Stayed early in week so restaurants etc in Le Bono not open which was a bit disappointing but not hotels fault.

Small, comfy hotel. Free parking. Room simple but spotless, with a great view over the river. Great breakfast. Ideally located for exploring southern Britanny (Auray, Vannes, Lorient, beaches...). Not many restaurants nearby - we had to search.

    8ChristopherPosted on: 9-24-2023

The view from our room was delightful. The beds comfortable and the room was quiet and not light polluted. Easy parking and convenient for motorway.

    Very meagre breakfast.

    Very disappointing.

After staying at many excellent and inexpensive hotels across France this trip, our expectations for this 3-star hotel were high. Unfortunately, we found it to be more like an expensive 1-star motel, slightly dilapidated and not very clean either. As for the "view" - see photos! The staff were unsympathetic after we politely asked for an upgrade. One to avoid!
