    Pros +

    • Convenient overnight stop. Basic but clean.Good dinner and breakfast
    • We like Campanile's. Normally very good accommodation and food and ample free parking. However, this one was lacking. It was tired (needed exterior decoration urgently) and room was a bit tired. The air conditioning failed - was faulty ? And there were no hand/grab rails around the bath. At eighty years of age I'm a bit doddery and it's dangerous/precarious for me using the bath. Also all the various switches (in the bathroom - but they shouldn't be for electrical safety reasons) should ideally be outside the bathroom. Trouble is that the engineer/designers of the room facilities/layout are too inexperienced 'young bucks'(?) who are not trained well enough 'by default' to 'design in' safety for old people - Iike me. I appreciate the competition and the serious financial deficits caused by COVID, but please just up your game a little. We will, of course, use Campaniles again. Thanks, Dr Alan, Retired Chartered Engineer, Lawyer and business Tycoon.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast not included in the price and TV so small.

    • All of it it was dirty overpriced and very small

Quiet location, easy access to resume our journey through France. Please thank Valerie for the condition of our very clean room. The duty manager had an excellent manner and is bilingual in English and French! His communication skills were outstanding.

Would have liked security gates for the car park area.

I was riding by motorbike and I did not want to go to the city because of security reason, that stay was great

    Near the city but quiet

    7JuliePosted on: 7-26-2023

The staff where very good , helpful and polite, buffet dinner and breakfast very good value

The hotel overall is very tired , could do with an upgrade, kettle not working and the air conditioning not working sufficiently in the room.

    10GarethPosted on: 7-12-2023

    Clean, comfortable and cheap

    5HughPosted on: 7-2-2023

Not much. Ample parking though not guarded, nor gated. It was possible to get a beer to drink in the garden after a long drive and that was welcomed. The management did quickly change our room as the one allocated stank of tobacco smoke. So much so, we couldn't have slept in that room.

The stale overpowering stench of cigarette smoke in our room. It is altogether a very tired establishment; run down and in need of renovation at best, redecoration as minimum. I realise covid has been problematic for such businesses and even then I would not stay here again.

    good bed…

the bathroom was disappointing…a bath with a plug that didn’t fit…there was black mould on tiles.sink plug missing ….toilet flush didn’t work…towel very poor…thin and old.

    7ShirleyPosted on: 5-7-2023

The on site parking good and a good restaurant

Feel that the room although clean need an update

    8PhilipPosted on: 5-4-2023

Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent.

The air conditioning did not work, the toilet seat was loose and there was mould on the grouting in the shower.

    5ElizabethPosted on: 4-24-2023

    Wouldn’t stay here again.

Having been in numerous well appointed Campaniles in the past 13 years and also seen them nicely refurbished this one has obviously been forgotten about. Room was needing a lot of TLC and the general appearance of the place including the reception and restaurant was shabby.

    7CatherinePosted on: 10-14-2022

Breakfast was good and offered a good choice

Everything was fine in room 6 apart from the plug in the bath which does not keep the water in.

    4EmmaPosted on: 9-24-2022

The restaurant was good value for money.

The room was dusty and the floor dirty. There were items in the room that needed repair, such as the extractor in the bathroom which was missing its cover, and a radiator which was hanging off the wall on one side. It was also quite difficult to find the entrance to the hotel car park as the sign off the main road was completely obscured by trees.

We've been to a number of Campanile's locations including this one. Was clean, quiet place, no fuss, eat and sleep situation for us. Definitely worth it for the price and comfort. Don't expect the Ritz because this is not it. Just enjoy. ?

Can't think of anything, always a pleasure.

    7StuartPosted on: 9-8-2022

    Good

Fixtures/fittings in the room were a bit worn. Could hear squeaky doors in another room, ours squeaked too.

    5JeniPosted on: 8-8-2022

Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices and parking place.

Room needs to be repaint as it looks old; same for bathroom and a fridge to be added as well.
