    • very good location, nice food and of course, the staffs are all friendly and very accommodating, though they speak french (but understands english as well) they try their best to explain everything even in broken english.
    • The location.
    • We love Ambleteuse - didn’t book with breakfast

    Cons -

    • The pool and jacuzzi were not very warm. Outdated and worn down. The television was quite small. No milk or creamer for the coffee in the room.
    • Lack of charging points and kettle needed to be booked on the floor which is dangerous
    • The sign on reception says they speak English, the receptionist certainly didn't. We managed fine though and there were no problems. Dinner was a set meal and you had to book so not great, but other places nearby!

The location is great, as it allows for day trips in the area. The room were really comfy and clean. The facility is great for kids. Staff is very kind and responsive.

    9MatthewPosted on: 5-10-2023

The rooms were spacious, good facilities. Kids enjoyed the pool (and Jacuzzi), playground for them as well. Breakfast was good, plenty of options. A nice place to stay as a family with activities nearby for a sensible price

The food was good and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The children had plenty to do for a one night stay.

The room decoration was tired and the third bed upstairs was very cramped. The radiator in our room was rusty. Limited options for dinner in the restaurant, especially for the children. Breakfast items weren’t replenished very quickly. Some small attention to details could make big improvements.

Great location just outside of Calais and near the beach. We only used it as a stop over, but would definitely consider going back as it had good facilities- play park, pool, courts, etc and was a great value. Stuff to do near by too and very friendly people!

good location from leaving Calais on our onward trip to morocco. liked the layout and views. breakfast was included and had a decent choice (although no dairy free options for milk). parking was included and was spacious. the staff were lovely. there was plenty to do - I wish we had been staying longer to take advantage of the amenities

the pool could have been cleaner and towelscould have been provided free of charge. booking.com stated all taxes were included but we were expected to pay extra on check out

    location

the rooms were dirty and there were lots of stains around the room. The door had rust on it and I didn’t like the breakfast. The hygiene was poor; the room wasn’t cleaned a single time during our stay and the breakfast was not very fresh in my opinion.

    Not able to stay.

DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE ANY POSSIBILITY OF BEING HELD UP- especially if you have small children. when travelling to the property we were running late. I.e 11.30pm. Messaged via booking.com but not monitored. Tried calling but not able to get through on the phone. apparently they tried calling but did not have any messages. Not able to check-in and had to keep baby overnight in the car, after searching round till 3am in Calais for alternative accommodation we had to go home early. sure the property would argue that we didn’t follow the allotted check in time of 5pm-7pm which we didn’t but to be honest- looking back at reviews this has happened to others so maybe the policy needs changing or better safeguards for people if they are travelling and may be late a key coded lock with a combination which could be emailed would be an easy way to sort this. request for refund was rebuffed. Very disappointing end to our holiday.

Location set up and the room was your own little place

Single beds and a strange smell

    7PaulPosted on: 7-9-2022

the property was clean and tidy, although out of season it has not been that busy that the hotel room did not look used that much. the bar was good and staff were all really friendly

The distance to the room from the reception, there was no bar food and the restaurant was fully booked when we checked in, so had to walk into the village for food.

    6PavelPosted on: 6-4-2022

We arrived past check in times and the hotel was aware. We received no information on any facilities available and opening times, breakfast, check out , wifi so all the general details were not in place. The room was open as we were informed. Nice breakfast afterall.

    Leave leaflets will all information

We really enjoyed the location and proximity to the market, village and the sea. We liked all the sport facilities the pool and the sauna. Bar was really nice and with variety of choices. Breakfast was excellent too. A real bonus was to discover all different types of games in the library - these were fantastic for the kids!

Well, all was really dated and it shows. most of the facilities were in the state justifying renewal, bits and parts were falling off here and there. Rooms were also past their best period...tennis court was really neglected (you can't call it otherwise).

The environment is very nice and ideal as departure point for the region. Staff was very friendly.

Room and swimming pool were not really clean. Felt even a bit dirty. If I didn’t book our short break in advance, I would not stay longer than 1 night.

    2DarioushPosted on: 6-7-2021

the pool was closed and they told me when I get there. The breakfast was good. Our room was too noisy. I couldn't sleep when kids walked in the room.

1.I arrived there at 2 pm and they charge 15 Euro extra. 2. I don't understand French but my wife does. So, during check-in, they talk to each other in French who I don't know about discounts. The only reason that I choose there was their pool but they were closed.

A very nice holiday village. Great price / value ratio.

Some renovation would be nice but for the price it is not a real problem
