    Pros +

    • Location, away from everything was good
    • Very desirable room in a romantic spot. We came with bicycles, so we ended up ordering in for food, but it was worth it. Cozy.
    • Beautiful room, the hotel is pretty much in the countryside. The staff helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.

    Cons -

    • No host to greet, I didn’t mind but didn’t know in advance so I had to call and just got a text message explaining what to do.
    • There is some confusion about the address and the neighbouring retired hotel. The pizza guy was confused too! But he, it's not a big problem.
    • Bathroom was a bit worn and showing signs of use.You need to travel a few kilometres if you want an evening meal.

    Quiet, dog friendly.

A little bit shabby in places. Light bulbs needed replacing for instance.

We had a very comfortable sleep. The staff were attentive, and the peaceful, quiet environment made the stay even more relaxing:)

That you had a card to get in an out. There is allot to see in close 1/2 hour driving range

We had to call the owner to even get in, since he wasnt there to begin with. After that we got the wrong room (which we saw after unpacking our stuff at the entrance) I tried contacting him(the owner) thru Booking.com itself and Whatsapp he never read the messages… I booked a room with a closed shower which was larger and more expensive. Got an Open shower + smaller room. I was with my niece so while the other had a shower the other was jailed to a corner where you cant see each other.. I would not go again. The cleaning lady was nice! She also is really good at her job :)

The hotel is beautifully renovated and in a picturesque location.

Be aware there is no hair dryer. The heating system was difficult to figure out, so ended up cold in the middle of the night - though this is probably our fault due to the language difference! Be aware you can't check in before 1700 as no one is there. There are many places to eat nearby but the adjoining restaurant is no longer open - just FYI.

Our dog was welcome here, which was great as we didn’t find any other dog-friendly places in the area. The room was spotless and the welcome was really friendly.

Everything was excellent, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The facilities were very nice and clean.

The only problem was sound insulation. I could hear the voice of reception and the guests.

Had a wonderful room. And the staff was gracious enough to rustle up some dinner on the day I arrived.

A little bit out of the way.

    disappointed

We arrvied the hotel late because traffic jam, unfortunately ALL doors were closed and noboby picked up the phone for more than half hour without informaing us in advance. We(inluding my mum who 83 years old and my daughter who 12 years old) have to stay a very dark and strange place to call booking service and look for another hotel for one hour till 22:30. Finally we went another hotel but it is a pity the payment 188 can not refunded. After communicating with booking, the hotel agreed to refund 68 to us, but it is a pity we still did not receive the refund of 68 until today for 3 months( from early July to early October) . We are disappointed because We have never encountered this situation before in our hotel career.

    - situated in a beautiful village- as we were traveling with 2 dogs, the backyard garden was very useful

we couldn’t stay for a long period

The hotel owner, Roger, is a trained Escoffier chef and the food is amazing. He is very courteous and took the time to make us feel special even though he was catering for a wedding and a full restaurant. He speaks English very well too. We stayed in a luxurious room in a separate building, with a modern shower and roll top bath overlooking the fields behind. It was situated in a small, quiet village but was close to the E42 for easy travel. We were going to the F1 at Spa and it was very easy to drive to Verviers and catch the shuttle bus from the station to the Grand Prix. We would definitely stay there again.
