The Varos Residences

The room was cleaned really well every day.

I recently stayed at this property and found that the experience did not match the price paid.Upon arrival, the check-in staff accompanied me to the room and suggested that I “check the room.” At first, this seemed unusual, but it became clear why when I later discovered that one of the two bathrooms was not functioning. Such an issue should have been identified during cleaning and preparation, or addressed before the room was assigned to guests. I reported the problem immediately and was told someone would check it. However, the bathroom remained out of order for the entire duration of our stay. At checkout, I was told it had been checked, to which I pointed out that it was still not working. No apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience was offered.The property shows signs of significant wear: cracked furniture, malfunctioning equipment, and general deterioration that suggests it has not been well maintained in recent years.Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, but many items appeared to be of the lowest quality available, such as the tomatoes, "bacon", and cheese. The dining area also had a considerable wasp problem, which was not effectively addressed. Attempts to deter them with burning coffee only added smoke without improving the situation.Overall, I did not feel the value justified the cost. I would recommend that future guests consider other accommodations where price and quality are more aligned. For the management, I suggest addressing maintenance issues promptly, ensuring rooms are fully functional before guest check-in, and improving both the quality of breakfast items and pest control.

The location of Varos Residences in the heart of the island is ideal. It allowed us to explore every corner of Lemnos with ease. The hotel’s charm, cleanliness, and the incredible hospitality we experienced definitely made it worth every penny and more!

Hotel is situated on a hilltop in Varos village and has views of the surrounding area. It is also close to Kotsinas beach. But you do need a car to get around. It would be difficult to get to the hotel without one. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff are very nice friendly people. We had many conversations with them and they all made us feel at home. It was very pleasant place to stay

Nothing to say. The hotel is close to the airport which is also used for military aircraft. Can be a bit noisy at times. There isn't much choice in Varos for food. There are two small restaurants and a bar.

Staying in one of the beautifully renovated residences amidst the daily life of the village was such a unique experience. It truly felt like being a part of the community. The setting is perfect, with small shops and cafes nearby, so you don't even need to venture far for food and drink.

The breakfast served in the village square was a delightful experience! A wide range of traditional Greek flavors and local products made every morning feel special. Enjoying breakfast while soaking in the village's charm was the perfect start to our days.

The staff at Varos Residences Hotel were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The concept of restoring the traditional village houses into a hotel is simply fantastic. It allowed us to immerse ourselves in the authentic village life, surrounded by a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Perfect location in the centre of the island that enables easy going around Limnos. Comfortable, clean and very friendly hotel environment . Fantastic breakfast area and very good breakfast serving.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and very tidy. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from each morning. The staff were outstanding – extremely accommodating, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit. Highly recommended!

Clean, fresh, wonderful staff and great location in the small cosy village of Varos. Loved that our room had a small but fully equipped kitchen.

Spacious and comfortable.

We booked two hotel rooms. One room had an unpleasant smell and the AC remote was broken. The other room did not have hot water (it was lukewarm)

We visited the island and the residence for second year. Every time the stay is great. The staff is always smiling, welcoming and responsive. There is a nice coffee corner and a bar close to the building. The accomodation is in a middle of a quiet and peaceful village. On the island there are a lot of beautiful beaches, historical and archeological places that must be viewed.

The mattresses on the ground floor are too hard.

The apartment is very nice,clean and authentic. The swimming pool is very nice too.

The only thing that I would be happier if it was there is a coffee machine.

Everything was perfect! The staff very polite and the breakfast excellent. In general the whole concept of mixing the life of the guests with the local people and their habits is brilliant. For sure I would recommend this hotel to somebody who would like to visit Lemnos.

Ilias, the hotel manager and his Team we're tremendous. They were always, smiling, helpful, polite and wanted to do everything to make our stay superb.

We felt the Varos both hotels are an important part of the little village of Varos. We appreciate the buildings received a new life, by becoming a hotel. The location is strategic, exactly on the middle of the island, so you can explore it much easier. We also liked the evenings in the square center, at the caffe, together with the locals. Nice atmosphere! And finally we appreciated the hotel staff was quick in finding solutions for the things we didn't like. They practically solved everything in a fast way

Very kind and helpful personnel, beautiful architectural design of the room complexes, fully equipped rooms. Good location very close to the airport, approximately in the middle of the island, if one wants to visit all around.

Air conditioning had a fixed setting, could not be adjusted, just on/off. The hotel is consisted of a few residence complexes scattered around Varos village, all within a few minutes walk, so be aware of which one of them corresponds to your booking.
