Pros +
- location to the beach is great and the price was really good. so any negatives are cancelled out by those 2 things.
- We really enjoyed our stay in the villagio. The staff was great and professional and all facilities were very enjoyable. Being the only non-italians we felt welcome and included. Loved the private beach and the bungalow we got (larger than what we booked). Cannot praise this place enough.
- Superb
Cons -
- I did not realize I would have to pay for a towel and buy my own toilet paper. But It was ok since the price was very good and the beach is excellent.
- Couple of things that were optional during pur stay. The biggest negative for us was the dining experience in the canteen. The food was the weakest we had anywhere in Italy during our 20 odd years visiting. And the atmosphere in the canteen resembles a school canteen, loud and unwelcoming. Instead of glasses you get plastic cups. But the most eye-opening is that there are excellent restaurants near the villagio where you can have three course meal with a bottle of lovely wine and mineral water for the same money! Much nicer meal and top notch service so an argument it is a canteen is not justifiable.Another negative were cocktails at the beach bar. You get a tiny amount in a small single-use plastic cup. In the evening you get a double sized cocktail into a glass, same price. Cocktails were good but you don't get the same drink. Less use of plastics across the villagio would also help in our opinion, so much unnecessary plastic waste.Though these were minor things more for management to think about, and we do recommend this place because it is just really nice.
