Pros +
- Perfect location, amazing staff, stunning views, delicious food.
- Although the breakfast area was a little cramped, the content of the breakfasts and the quality of the good provided was very good.
- Very quaint property. All a bit dated but that gives it lots of character. The staff keep the place spotlessly clean. Conveniently located in the Main Street with a short walk to the lifts. The hotel bar is arguably the best in Valmorel and the guys there do a tremendous job and make you want to drink there ahead of anywhere else. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome.
Cons -
- Slightly dates bathrooms.
- Because there were non skiers in our party, it would have been nice to either have a hot drinks machine available during the day or at least a hot water supply. There was also limited recreational space to sit. The convenience of being in such a lovely area and on the main street made up for it. The hosts were helpful and polite.
- Rooms were tiny and you could barely turn round in it. Breakfast room was incredibly cramped and very busy with lots of queues to get what you wanted

This is such a charming place! The hotel is in the center of the village with everything nearby. The rooms are cozy and very clean. There is a sauna downstairs which can be privatized for half hour. The staff is exceptional! Everything you need to spend a fantastic ski holiday! On top of that there is a great pub inside the hotel. It is really good value for money.I have stayed there before and will definitely return.
The location was excellent. Staff was wonderful.
Very small, dated room. No room for clothes and luggage. Two people could not navigate at the same time. Bathroom was dated, small, and uncomfortable. Shower was difficult to use. A very uncomfortable room. Breakfast was just adequate and the room too small for the number of people trying to eat.
Location and value for money
The lobby area and the social spaces were small compared to the size of the hotel
The staff were fantastic - super helpful, informative and gave us great tips on what to see and do in the area, including recommendations for adults and children. They even helped us navigate the ski map and suggested the best lifts and slopes. The ski lifts were just a few minutes' walk away and took us straight to the ski areas for a hassle-free start to the day.The Piou Piou club, perfect for young children, was literally a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Our balcony even overlooked the club grounds, so we could watch our little one skiing from our room! The hotel's location in the heart of the village was excellent. There were plenty of restaurants and ski shops nearby, and we received discounts at some restaurants and on ski rentals just for staying at the hotel. The bar with its fireplace was a lovely place to relax after a day on the slopes
Our room was very outdated and located in a cold part of the building. We had to request an extra heater and blankets to make it comfortable for our children. The bathroom was also in need of refurbishment. Disappointingly, our friends received a newly renovated room with a mezzanine level for the same price. It seems like room allocation is a bit of a lottery. The breakfast selection was limited, with only eggs, croissants, chocolate buns, cut fruit, and yogurt. There weren't any gluten-free options.
Our stay at Hotel du Bourg in Valmorel over Christmas and New Year’s was unforgettable. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind, making us feel right at home. Their warmth and attention to detail really made a lasting impression. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the ski lifts and close to the charming town of Valmorel. After a day on the slopes, the cozy pub was the perfect place to unwind, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious.Hotel du Bourg offers excellent service, a great location, and a warm atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable skiing holiday in Valmorel.
Location was perfect.Staff are warm & welcoming. The pub was great!Cleanliness of our rooms was faultless. Breakfast was adequate but not interesting.
Bathrooms very tiredNo tea/coffee in our room.
Their family room was ok. Like not much room inside to move about. The view outside our window was beautiful
Really tiny shower & wash room.
Location of hotel is perfect and bar cosy with log fire
AH the breakfast room , tables too cramped ,especially when diners arrive all at once . Then food runs out , coffee machine slow. However when quiet all is good Perhaps some fruit could be supplied, maybe banana or apples
Excellent location, amazing staff
No lift, very small bathroom
We both had skiing accidents unfortunately near the end of our trip, and the help we got from (I think) the manager was very sweet. They really make you feel like they actually care. The whole vibe of the hotel is so cosy instead of a factory where you are a number. They had a great cosy pub with fireplace in the hotel downstairs, feels like a living room in the afternoons. They also have a sauna with foot massage devices you could reserve. All great after a good day of skiing. It is located right on the Main Street so super convenient for restaurants or quick shopping/groceries. Even with the accident, we can say we had a great time in Valmorel, which is a beautiful area, and we will look back at hotel du Bourg fondly!
Excellent staff and location, breakfast was also excellent.
There's no Half Board option!
Breakfast was great! Location was excellent! Tge hotel tell staff were Amazing!
Excellent staff, especially the bar staff. All very friendly.Greatocation in centre of the village and shirt walk to the ski lift
Over crowding at buffet breakfast and rooms basic especially the bathroom
Excellent staff, very pleasant owners, they helped us a lot during our stay with our daughter who had an accident on the ski slope. Beautiful environment. Good access to the lifts, excellent and beautiful location for accommodation.
location, friendly staff, ambience in bar
hotel a bit old and tired. expensive
Pub is great - staff is very friendly - Location is excellent
rooms are small and ugly - Bathroom is unacceptable for the price - breakfast is ridiculous, almost no choices of bread, no eggs, no fresh fruits (only cans) and only 1 choice of Tea. Bad value for 200€/night
Location perfectly
Breakfast room so "tight" also would have liked a better choice . Would like to see some fresh fruit and hot choice. Would pay extra for this.
