Totem, Friendly Hotel & Spa

We loved the location and the vibe of the hotel. The room was immaculate and so near the ski lifts and ski rental. The breakfast was amazing! We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel and rooms smelled lovely, and they were very clean. Overall, a very positive experience and we will go back for sure.

We initially assumed that access to the spa was included in the room price, but we later learned that there is an additional charge of €10 per day. This wasn’t a major issue for us, but it would be helpful if this were communicated more clearly in advance, so guests know that the room rate does not include spa access.

Location excellent - 200 yrds to the lifts, breakfast excellent, ski shop in hotel and all staff great and super friendly all way up to management. they all cared!

The staff on reception were exceptional and gave a very warm welcome. The location of the hotel is fantastic and a boot room on the ground floor makes it easy to reach the slopes. The restaurant, bar and lounge area overlooking the slopes are well equiped and well stocked with games whilst you relax.

Some items ran out quickly and were not replaced at the breakfast buffet even before the close at 10am. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been and there was a smell of damp, the carpet needed a clean.

The shower water pressure in the room was very poorEven when the Spa was empty my son was not allowed to join me being 14 years oldThis meant he had to stay in the room whilst I used the facilities and the main reason I used it and had to pay 10 Euro was for the shower The ski locker room needs a drying facility

Excellent breakfast, dog friendly, ski room at the bottom of the hotel and 1 min walk to the ski lift, nice spacious spa with outside jacuzzi and excellent massage, friendly / caring staff

Overpriced dinner buffet, spa does not allow children (<16 years old) at any time, only instant coffee option in the room

Loved the location, just short walk to slopes on skis.Loved the facilities, especially restaurant, bar and access to ski hire within hotel.All staff extremely helpful and would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay again if I returned to Flaine

- Rooms were tiny, no where to hang stuff - strange smell from the toilet in the mornings- ski lockers are tiny- breakfast was average as things run out by 915 am

Our second trip to the Totem - we like the location, the in-house ski shop, the staff, the spa, the quirky decor, the food, the views and the general vibe of the place. Very chilled and relaxing place to stay with nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff.

The hotel was very busy with a corporate booking on our final night, which disturbed the relaxing atmosphere but did not spoil our stay. The only improvement I would make would be to install heated boot driers in the ski locker room as our boots did not dry out overnight.
