The family-run Hotel Alpina right in the heart of the car-free resort of Mürren offers a unique location and spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. The Swiss-style rooms are pleasantly and comfortably furnished. Most rooms also offer spectacular views of the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Savor a diverse menu while enjoying the beautiful mountain panorama from the terrace of the Alpina hotel. The cozy lounge with a cable TV, a small library with newspapers and several games invites guests to relax. All hotel guests enjoy free access to the public indoor swimming pool and to the ice skating rink (only in winter) of the Mürren sports center (650 ft).

- The hotel is a bit dated, and so one should view this as a cozy/comfy accommodation rather than a luxurious one. Also keep in mind that the hotel is closer to the train station, and thus, this is a better option compared to the gondola (longer walk).

The view from the hotel is spectacular, and staying in a car-free town like Muerren was unique. There's great access to skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and shopping. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were also very good.

Important Info:
Mürren is a car-free town and can only be reached by train or cable car. Cars have to be parked at the valley station. Please note that there is no elevator and the rooms are only accessible by stairs.
