Offering an indoor pool and a sauna,the Braunbär Hotel & Spa - former Alpine Sunstar Hotel is located close to the station in the car-free village of Wengen, which is only reachable by train. The Männlichen Cable Car is located right across from the property. The lounge bar is equipped with a cozy fireplace. The Braunbär Hotel & Spa - former Alpine Sunstar Hotel also has a steam bath. During the warmer months, guests can relax in the garden, which also has a trampoline. A 4-course menu with several choices based on fresh, regional ingredients is offered in the restaurant. You can select from a delicious range of starters, salads from the buffet, various soups and 3 main courses (meat, fish, vegetarian) plus the chef's seasonal recommendations.There is also a choice of tasty desserts.

- Location was just a two minute walk from the railway station in Wenger. The room was extremely comfortable, as was the leisure facilities.
- absolutely stunning views from our room overlooking Lauterbrunnen valley across to Jungfrau and glaciers and Murren on the otherside of the valley. Walk through town, quaint and picturesque, close to end of ski season so quiet village
- Of a two week trip throughout Europe this hotel was by far our favorite. The views/location was breathtaking, the room (Duplex) was clean, comfortable and luxurious in size, and the staff was kind and helpful at every turn. The spa area was freely accessible (for the most part) and so very welcome after long days of hiking.
