Pros +
- Friendly staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Central location was great for walking downtown
- The place was cleaned, reasonably comfortable and great location. Good shower and AC.
- Keep away from this resort its a scam! Booking must remove this property from its site as we were cheated
Cons -
- Google map directions were poor. Took us thru exceedingly narrow streets unnecessarily. Once we figured out where it was, there were much easier ways to reach it
- Our room was about 200 metres from the actually hotel. The room was quite dark, with one window and poor lighting. Parking area was a bit far. Pillows were too soft.
- The rooms were not the same as the pictures at the booking site. There was a leak in the room walls and it was very humid. The wireless did not work. The reception said these are our rooms and you paid already so it is your problem!! We left the reception and walked 3 streets to get to the room. The room they showed was at the underground level and there was a bad smell. The furniture in the room was broken. The bed was covered in dust. I took all pictures and send to booking and even called them. I went back and showed the pictures to reception and the guy laughed and said this is normal! I have never felt so bad as it was late night and we were forced to stay there. The room was like a cave an the ceilings were very low

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, breakfast and location met our expectations.
Nothing really.b
Location is situated next to what can only be described as a slum. You have to walk 75 mtrs through the trafficated streets and up and down stairs just to get to the reception&breakfast area, parking is not provided by the hosts, you have to try your luck in the streets, apartment had only one window the rest, including the bathroom, had no natural light or ventilation with the place smelling of damp. . The bedroom is open plan with the kitchen!!! The photos give a completely different impression to what you actually get.
The staff are amazing. And the room was very good and clean.
The steps
Close to centreBreakfast good
No Wi-Fi in studio roomNeighbours very noisyIn studio a few street away from main hotel
The apartment was clean and had all the failities one could want. The apartment was cleaned daily. The breakfast was the best in town, great choice and very tasty. Staff were very helpful, especially Musa who spoke very good english, which was not common throughout Caltanissetta, and is very strong. He carried our bags like they were hat boxes.
There was no iron provided in the room, but one might have been available if I needed one.It didnt' bother us, but there are many steps leading to the door of the hotel, but staff will help to overcome this.
The team at Antichi Ricordi was extremely helpful upon my initial contact with them. They responded quickly to my questions about where to park the weeks leading up to my visit. Upon arriving at the property, the hospitality and helpfulness continued. The room in the main building was on the top floor and was extremely spacious. There was a hot water kettle and tea bags in the room along with a miniature fridge. Walking to the historic sites in Caltanissetta took just a few minutes. Highly recommend Antichi Ricordi for anyone visiting Caltanissetta.
Antichi Ricordi deserves the high rankings guests give. Can't add much more to what has been said. It is not a bad walking distance from train and bus stations, but lots of stairs if you take the shortcut. Easy walk to centre.
All good.
Quiet room with a terrace. It was located close to the city centre. Good bed, shower and air con.
Nothing except no cooked breakfast.
Boutique hotel. Very comfortable. Staff very caring
Location. Adjoining streets had derelict properties, piles of rotting rubbish, abandoned cars. Would not want to walk around after dark. Couldn’t find anywhere to eat (accepting it was Sunday)
My room was comfortable and cosy. The breakfast was good.We were recommended a restaurant for dinner which had really good Italian food. Effective air con.Comfortable bed.
My lamp in bedroom stopped working and not fixed, so it made reading at night impossible. Mind you I was exhausted most nights after adventuring around Caltanissetta.
we really like everything. We were on our way to Catania and we decided to stop to rest at any near hotel. Glad we found this beautiful hotel. A very nice lady welcomed us and gave a us a better room than the one we reserved. Room , shower were amazing. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Home made pies , croissants, cold meats, cheeses, dry fruits, yogurts. 10 stars to this amazing little corner
Disappointing
Zero customer service. The guy at the entrsnce seemed more like a cop, I did not feel welcome, he did talk with informal register, and since was no welcoming, it was just rude. The owner was raffish, very rude, it seemed they were paying me for staying and angry for that. The thing that made me hate this place was that I had to give my ID card to her, and she was so slow I could not just stand wait one minutes and have the document back, no: I had to come back 15 minutes later, so the waiter walked me into the apartment in the other building, and I had to walk back to the first building for walking back to the apartment, and in these two journeys was raining, so I had to run and get wet. Not finished, when I walked in the reception, my document was lefr unattended at the desk, so I picked it up (like any other person could), and in order to avoid the owner to call me or knocking at the door, I looked for her to inform her. After I foumd and inform her, she answered "How dare you? Please give me the document". So I gave her my id card, followed her at the desk, she sitted, and gave it back to me. Funny, eh? Other than that, bed was two tiny, discount beds, no comfy at all, and under them there was a hard wooden board. Photos were different. At the same price I warmly suggest to go to Duomo Suite (or even Duomo House), that is way better both in apartment, facilities, privacy (it's an entire apartment and customer service. Antichi Ricordi is worth one quarter of Duomo Suite, but costs the same. Never again.
Good Breakfast, Good Location, good service, very helpful staff
car parking was difficult
The room was clean and modern, also the bathroom.
There was no window. The room door was glass, and opened to the outside open-air corridor, which means the guest must keep the curtain closed all the time for privacy.
Only stayed one night, but the staff seemed helpful and friendly. The rooms had an eclectic decor, but were very clean and spacious. Short walk to the city center.
The location suited the needs of our one-night stop-over in Caltanisetta - just a short walk from the town centre, with plenty of reasonably priced places to eat. The interior of the property is a pleasant surprise given the very average appearance of the neighbourhood - modern decor in shared area and in our room. Caltanisetta is clearly a diverse town in terms of its population - surprising given its relatively remote inland situation.
I felt a little on edge when walking around town - particularly in the quieter back streets and the public park close to the hotel. Paranoia perhaps, but I felt it prudent to be more than usually watchful when out and about.
Good place to stay for 1 night, parking was possible and free in the street. The staff was helpfull, breakfast good.
The place is not so nice compared to other Sicilian cities.
