- That the stairwell to the rooms was used by smokers. I did not like having to trail through the smell of smoke before entering my room. The staff informed me thy they would open the window in the stairwell and that regular guests were smokers and they could not afford to put a stop to their smoking. Perhaps a designated smoking area could be provided so ordinary non-smokers can enjoy the stay without having to enter area of smoke.

Friendly staff, spacious room and fine bathroom. Perfect location for us as a travel through hotel between Denmark and Belgium. We had a good dinner in the restaurant in the evening. Great value for money!
The nextdoor church of which the bells wake you up at 7.00 ... ah well, we found out the hotel is on a pelgrim route which made it kind of within the right atmosphere ?

Nice old-fashioned Gasthaus with a good breakfast, very nice restaurant that serves good food in great portions for a very fair price, every day for hotel guests. Spacious rooms with large windows and actual shutters, very handy in summer. Nice surrounding in a hilly and green bit of the Münsterland
The walls are very thin. The first two nights this wasn't an issue but the last night another guest decided to have the tv on until very late, and I could hear everything - and my German isn't even that good.. Bring earplugs, just in case.The bar/restaurant closes very early, and the drinks machine and refrigerator were both not in use, so after eight or so there's only water to drink
A nice place to stay, good breakfast and good walks if you have a dog.
The duvet was too small so I didn't sleep well. Also I arrived after 9pm in October so I couldn't find it because all the lights are switched off ay 9pm.
