    Pros +

    • Special building at a beautiful village
    • It was really a unique experience to sleep in a building from 1441.
    • Picturesque traditional timber frame house in a quaint village setting. Plenty of parking behind the hotel and free of charge. Scrumptious Swabian food served in the restaurant and delicious coffee/breakfast buffet in the morning.

    Cons -

    • Simple room, but very clean and comfortable
    • The room was very dark under the roof with a very low ceiling, there were no thick curtains at the windows, so in the evening it was possible to see into the room from the other buildings. We asked for a quadruple room with bathroom and instead we got 2 double rooms and the bathroom was in the corridor between the two rooms. The beds were not very comfortable and the breakfast was minimal.
    • The room was very small and due to the age and style of the building, the walls are not very soundproof.

Parking is close. The restaurant is good. I didn't use the shower as it was too small

Loved the history, the atmosphere and the food.

The house is old, cozy and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Their restaurant offers some absolutely delicious local mealvarieties. The breakfast, even though relatively simple, consists of delicious coldcuts, cheese, fruits, veggies and yoghurt.

Because it's an old house, the rooms are quite noisy.

Despite the room is located in a very old building (the house built in 1560), it is comfortable, warm, and has all the amenities working properly. Everything is clean, including the bathroom. The highlight of the stay is the traditional restaurant located directly in the same house.

Not really a concern, but the shower cabin is not too big, but still fit for purpose.

Very nice 15c hotel with additional rooms behind the main building but still in very old buildings, lovely top floor room with mezzanine floor and an additional bed , lovely views from every window of the old village.

Very authentic Gasthof I got a room on 3rd floor and was difficult for me to climb stairs Good food and very helpful staff in the morning who served us breakfast

I was given a room in an adjacent house and had to climb 3 floors Did not have internet

The place is really nice and the rooms and the bathroom were sparkling clean. We also had dinner in the restaurant and it was very very good and tasty. The village around seems nice but we did not see much as it rained.

The stairs to reach the last floor where our rooms were are a little too steep and the kids were a little scared to use them

Ideal as a stopover for 1 night. A clean fresh room, friendly people, good breakfast in a charming village. We had a pleasant stay.

I liked the Decor it was very much set up to give you a feel for the olden days had a nice Beer Garden where you could have a drink and dinner

The access to the top floor was a bit too steep and narrow especially when you have to take 4 suitcases up and back down the room height was a bit low and on the angle off the pitch of the roof it caused me to hit my head a few times as for the location there is not much to do and the aircon didn’t have a remote that you could turn it to cooler it was set at 22.5 degrees which was still pretty warm during the night

Beautiful old building. We had a family room for two adults and two children and had plenty of space. Really a perfect experience.

The hotel restaurant did offer one (delicious) vegan option, but the menu was overall rather meet oriented. It would be great to see more vegan and vegetarian options.

Value for money not acceptable; will not return.

The staff was friendly, however mainly occupied with themselves; dinner was only possible at a certain time because supposedly all tables were reserved. This was obviously not the case as a number of tables stayed empty throughout the evening.Food was mediocre at best. The room was m/l hidden behind the kitchen and the windows opened up to a noisy terrace.

nice old style house with all the commodities of modern life

nothing to complain for one night

    8Evelyn-YvonnePosted on: 9-29-2022

The town with all the historical houses. The foodWas great.

Towel heater in bathroom did not work. Would have been great since the bathroom has no other heater.

    8RoelPosted on: 9-16-2022

The breakfast was very good. The room was large and spacious. The location is good. The village is remote but the hotel is in the middle of the village. The building is old but beautiful with half-timbered facades. There is a lot of parking space at the back of the hotel. Although that can be busy due to visitors of the restaurant.

We had the top floor, which means a lot of stairs, and some doors are a little low for someone tall like myself. In other words, not too much to complain about.
