Hotel-Restaurant Laux

Very clean; kind staff (only one of them spoke English). One strange thing though (not good nor bad, just curious): in a double bed, instead of having one big blanket, there were two “single ones”

Breakfast (which, by the way, is from 07:00 till 10:00) had no pastries at all (no croissants, no choco bread….) and only grapes as fruit. But different types of bread, different types of cheese, cold cuts, cereals..

Restaurant was still open when we arrived later than anticipated and we were served a good meal. Our room was large and the bathroom clean and well-appopinted.

Our room smelt musty, as if a previous occupant had smoked there, or perhaps it it had just been shut up for some time?

Great sized room, helpful staff, even put on an early breakfast for us.

Restaurant was closed the weekend of our stay - needed to drive into Merzig to get food.

Apartment was huge and clean. Location was excellent. Food was lovely and the beer was plentiful and local. Breakfast good too and the staff get refilling the food dishes/baskets. Would recommend.

Only minor but the shower door didn't close properly so you had to be careful that the water didn't leak onto the floor.

We stayed here for one night driving from Austria to Belgium. The beds were very comfortable and the room had shades so it was very dark which made for an excellent nights sleep. The breakfast is fine to charge up before you go on the road again.

The room was very good and very clean with a good menu for an evening meal and well priced plain and simply the staff looked after you. this was our stop over for the next mornings final destination so around 4 to 5 hours from the port of Dunkerke ( however road works made the journey more like 8 hours) however would stay here again and would recommend to others thank you for looking after us.

Very friendly and helpful people. Possibility to diner (good) for a fair price. Extensive breakfast. Very fair and good price/quality balance!

Warm room. Difficult to cool down without opening windows (and the risk of insects)

Great breakfast, very quiet location, needed to travel by car to do any thing.Nice clean room and bathroom ok but see comment below about the shower .

Shower area needed updating as mould in the grout and lower door seal.

Food in the restaurant was very good.Sina on our first night was lovely, very friendly and helpful.

The man who was there was very unfriendly. We have been many times but he didn't acknowledge us.We will not return.

Parking is not secure, it is a "lay by" just down the road, but was fine for our one night.

The evening personal had already at least one drink when I arrived. Location a bit more old school.

early sleep disturbed by guests phoning from smoking station outside external door of our room - easily sorted by polite request, but intrusive until then.

Wonderful hotel, very good breakfast. We also ate dinner there - very tasty and at a good price. Hosts supper friendly.

The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was tasty with lots of options! Everyone was friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.
