Pros +
- The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast delightful. Staff was very accommodating.
- Just 100 meters off the cycle path, secure garage storage for our hikes AND an excellent restaurant
- Excellent location, and breakfast. The restaurant has a good reputation but on the day we were there it was their closed day. Have stayed here before and will do so again on our next visit.
Cons -
- The walk up two flights with suitcases was a workout.
- Breakfast is very basic, Mettlach itself is an ugly city, I would not recommend anyone to visit this place except if they are coming for the Saarschleife.
- The hitel supports the freeSaarfunk wifi connection which is great if it worked but I was unable to connect to the wifi most of the time, which is a problem if you count on wifi connection to plan your next hiking days.

Nice hotel, outlasted my expectations. They were kind enough to even add fan to my room as I requested. Easy check/check out.

The location, the easy check in, clean and good room, good breakfast. This is a bike and hotel, which sounds great.

Good
breakfast is very modest. there was no hot food: scrambled eggs or omelettes, sausages...no elevator and very steep stairs...it was hard for me to lift my suitcases
lots of privacy, clean, comfortable. excellent food nearby.
The hotel was well situated for our travels. The parking was near. The room was spacious enough.
The breakfast was very plain. The check-in went not smoothly. No good restaurants in the town.
easy access, central location. Breakfast was well laid out and plentiful.
Location. Good breakfast. Fan saved our lives as very hot overnight
Restaurant closed during stay
Free parking in the garage. Close to Zermatt. Good breakfast. Clean and friendly. Efficient shuttle service to Zermatt, cheaper than the train
Noise from road an railroad right outside our window
Nicholas was a super friendly host giving us great tips to which Christmas market to go to.
Friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast Good food in restaurant.
Nothing really. Good value for money
V friendly and accommodating staff. Great food and good beer
Lots of stairs if you have mobility issues
Lovely friendly clean place, food was top class.
The room was amazing for such an old building. Had everything we needed. Room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Very quiet even though we had the windows open throughout the night. Lunch and supper very good. Breakfast was the best that we ever had in an hotel. Bread rolls hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Buffet was amazing. We would love to spend some more time here next time.
Nothing to complaine about.
location is good.in shopping area;along the river side, good view.closed to the bridge.convenient transportation.friendly service crews;Room is big enough for a family.clean;WIFI is good;
no Elevator in the building.I was living on the 3rd floor (2nd floor in Germany)of the hotel. when I carried down my big suitacase on the stairs, I falled down. I was lucky that I did not get injured. However, if there is a elevator. it will be much better.no electrical kettle.breakfast is simple.
Very basic, difficult parking, change rules as they please: close restaurant, no personal check-in
Booked an hotel with restaurant, after al lot of research. What we got: an email that there was no check in and we must pick up our key in a box. If we wanted that kind of service, we would have booked an Airbnb. After trying to make a reservation for the restaurant, they told us the restaurant would be closed, because of a holiday earlier that week? They did not inform us about the closing of the restaurant prior and the restaurant was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, because we knew we would arrive after a long day of driving and hiking. When we arrived, it turned out there was paid parking around the hotel, they did not inform us about that eather. Took an hour of driving through te village and calling the owner of the hotel to find a parking spot. Very disappointing stay. Room is also very basic for 135 Euro a night. No fridge, no coffee or tea, no airconditioning. Very noisy, we woke up really early because of a truck in front of the hotel.
charming owners. The family room had all the comfort we needed for an overnight stay on our way to the Austrian mountains. Lovely restaurant as well. parking next to the hotel.
Very welcoming staff and easy check-in. Room was very clean, warm and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great, everything we needed.
Nothing, it was as described and as shown in the pictures and the welcome was friendly.
