Hotel Nuuksio - Conferences and events

Pros +

• I stayed one night with my dog and was very pleased. Great location next to nature trails. Calm and serene surroundings. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
• Calm atmosphere in the midst of nature, incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast
• The location close to nature was nice.

Cons -

• Sadly, Hotelli Nuuksio was a conplete disappointment. The hotel is simply run down. The rooms are furnished with 90s chipboard furniture, curtains were in disarray, a huge retrofitted air-conditioning unit complete with plastic piping dominated our room, and the shower was so clogged it immediately flooded the bathroom. To top it off, the indoor pool was clearly much too cold to swim in, and the breakfast was - at best - mediocre. It was clear that this wouldn't be a brand new hotel, and there are a few older hotels in the nature surrounding Helsinki (Rantapuisto and Korpilampi spring to mind). However, while those have been maintained with care, and aged gracefully, I'm sorry to say that Hotelli Nuuksio has apparently been left to decline. Unfortunately, we left feeling that this was neither a good experience nor good value for money.
