    Pros +

    • Lovely little place, just a few rooms that all open to a central room where they serve breakfast. Clean, modern, a nice little patio right on a water passage. The staff was very friendly, gracious and welcoming.
    • There are 7 rooms in this hotel, with a common area for eating, common deck looking over the water, coffee always available. We booked 5 rooms for our sons’s wedding and it was perfect! It was very private, clean & the staff was exceptional! Breakfast became a favorite for us, various breads, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled egg, butter, meat & cheese. The little town was lovely and easy to navigate - all rooms had AC, dinner one night at the steakhouse was very good- we had wedding plans the rest of the time, or we would have gone every night.
    • The location is very nice and the room is spacious.

    Cons -

    • Although the rooms were nice and clean and modern, there was no place to hang clothes for a multi-night stay. Also, while a lovely and spacious shower, no place to put shampoo, soap, etc. The breakfast was expensive and underwhelming.
    • I don’t have any complaint’s !
    • I got the worst room I the hotel just opposite the entrance door and with the windows to the street. It is noisy, and the room is not soundproof. I wouldn't suggest anyone accept room number 1 in case you would like to have your rest. The room didn't have a hair dryer, was no safety box, and no slippers. On one of the towels was a lot of small hair (man leaves it after shaving). When I went the bad, I found out that I'm not alone. It was a silverfish on one of the pillows.

Large, modern, clean room. Very quiet with super comfortable beds! Wonderful to have free parking. Breakfast was an option but we did not choose to include with our booking. Nice city. I would book here again.

The check in instructions were a bit confusing. We did get it all straightened out with no issues.

Beautifully furnished rooms with a very cozy atmosphere in a modern design style.

Greatest venue for a fishing trip on Hellevoetsluis lake. Tackle shop 500 yards from hotel, perfect

Large room, very comfortable, Beautiful location

No view, window near the ceiling, due to the history of the building. Request for or pay for a room with view of the canal.

Great location and really good food in the restaurant

The room was quite dark and didn't have an openable window

Nice hotel but noisy in the morning.

The breakfast was served in the lobby/hall which was just outside the rooms. Breakfast started at 7 so we were awoken at 7 by the noise of the staff and guests.

The self check in seemed doubtful but the email sent before end worked beautifully. All the necessary information is in the email. We even to get our bikes in the protect bike parking. The breakfast was fantastic.

    Very new. Location perfect.

Not enough outlets near the bed for cpap and cell phones. Problem throughout Netherlands.

We knew this building as the original tourist information office when he had lived in this town in the early 1980s, so we were intrigued to see what it was like as a boutique hotel. We weren’t disappointed.

It was not warm enough and, though we asked for this to be rectified, our rooms felt only marginally warmer. There were high winds on the first night of our visit and during the following day and this may have been part of the problem. I wonder if the outer door of the building being constantly open didn’t help. It was also exceptionally low daytime temperatures for the time of year but I would have expected there to be adequate heating to counteract these. This is the only reason that I haven’t given full marks in every category for this otherwise wonderful hotel.

Large room, Very modern, but set in an historic building. Excellent good value restaurant. Only 100 yards from the old centre with a few other bars and restaurants.

Very nice room, delicious breakfast, very kind staff, coffee machine in the room, comfortable bed

My room had only a small window near the ceiling, it gave me a claustrophobic impression. I don't know if it is like this in other rooms

    8RenePosted on: 10-19-2023

Located in the center, quiet location.

    Towels, they are/were to small

    Soulless hotel, very rude staff

We were shocked to be shouted at by a member of staff at this hotel. She was aggressive and rude. It’s a problem the hotel is unstaffed from 14:00. Very little information is provided and none about bike storage or breakfast. There’s no bar, only a vending machine. Hardly any tea or coffee in the room. No-one replies to emails or to messages to the phone number provided. The window in our room was so high it felt like a prison. The towels were the size of hand towels - no bath towels. A designer hotel without warmth or soul.

the location of the hotel is excellent. it was so beautiful, quiet and picturesque. we had breakfast on the day we left which was lovely.

i hadn't realized that there would not be staff available 24 /7 but that was probably because i didn't read the website properly:). it didn't cause a problem anyway.

    5DanielPosted on: 8-18-2023

    Location, high standard of finish

No staff, access difficulties when you don’t receive door code e mail, assistance signs only in Dutch! Confusion on payment especially if you don’t have a European bank account.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Good location

It was not made clear that our room had virtually no window. Only one very small window over 2.5 metres above the floor letting in some sky light. It was like a prison cell. Deliberately not included in room description. No check in staff. We rang the number provided with a question about parking. No answer. We left message. No call back or text.
