- Wonderful chateau nice grounds relaxing
- Gorgeous renovation of mansion. Helpful staff. Called restaurants, helped with rental car charging and room needs. Best croissants we ever had. Freshly squeezed orange juice and tasty breakfast. Loved the delicious self serve hot chocolate anytime. Relaxing in parlors. Comfortable and elegant room.
- Beautiful chateau by the lake with a peaceful atmosphere
Cons -
- Too remote. Roads from town to it are industrial and not clean and under construction. Freight harbor across the river while it can be ignored it takes away from the experience
- Need a wash cloth in shower.
- Not necessarily a bad thing however, a complimentary local wine bottle would be a nice addition.

Beautiful chateau by the lake with a peaceful atmosphere

The hotel was very clean and the grounds are well-maintained. The pool and sauna were impeccably maintained and the seating outside was perfect for enjoying the view of boats going by on their way to the ocean.
The mattress and pillows could have been more comfortable but wasn’t bad.
The chateau was great with a large, comfortable room and few places inside and outside to relax. The location was also great with easy access to vineyards and the city. The service overall was excellent and staff were very helpful.
The grounds and rooms of the facility were amazing. The sauna was a fantastic touch with a great view!
No restaurant at dinner was a surprise. But breakfast and snacks we’re marvellous
The location was unique on the river with it’s own launch service into Botdeaux
Slightly out on a limb so every journey off site required a car ,boat or taxi
Friendly staff, huge room. The hotel building is beautiful.
No coffee machine in the room, no bar in the hotel
Lovely hotel and gardenHelpful staffBeing able to order a wider range of food would be good
Facilities/bikesAir conditioning
Minimal food options (but this was made clear in advance)Very sterile breakfast roomDifficult to contact staff at times (my partner was waiting 20 minutes to check out)
The pool area was beautiful and the rooms so light and airy
A wine station down by the pool would have been great or a means to order food from by the pool
What a beautiful place to stay. The gardens are beautiful and take time to find and relax in the boat house overlooking the river. Stunning swimming pool. You can book the water taxi into Bordeaux but we were happy to relax by the pool and enjoy the gardens.
Be your own Princess… This is the absolute best place to stay. Hire a car and do day trips to Cap Ferret and Cognac…. Then at night get an Uber into town for the excellent restaurants and street wine bars. Julo was excellent
There is no hot bistro dining BUT you can have a fantastic Charcuterie plate and a Caesar salad with your self pouring wine machine. The château is a perfect backdrop for relaxed wine snacking on grounds.. just perfect
Beautiful, elegant Chateau overlooking the river.renovated in a contemporary style to a high standard.
20 mins from Bordeaux…which may not suit everyone. No proper restaurant.
The breakfast is excellent. Fresh orange juice, which I love and fresh fruit, provided amongst other things. The château is beautifully presented in park like gardens. There are bicycles to ride around the gardens. There is an elevator.
The website claims to offer food throughout the day but we saw no evidence of this.A better eye could be kept on when certain items of breakfast were going down or needed replenishing. We thought the price of going to Bordeux on the boat was very expensive.
It is a beautiful château, lovely rooms and very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the garden and pool. Really beautiful scenery.
There is a limited menu to choose from, and as the château is far from any shops or restaurants, it is difficult to have to eat the same food all the time. Sometimes they run out of ingredients, which makes it even more difficult. The standard rooms also don’t have a coffee machine, only instant coffee ? The hotel is expensive, I think this is an oversight. It is difficult without a car, but Uber is readily available. The boat that one can take to town is extremely expensive, not worth it
Beautiful chateau, well keep, staff is friendly and good.
Beautiful nature, beautiful interior and even though they did not have a restaurant, the room service food was really fresh and tasted great! We could also enjoy it on their terraces or in the lounge areas
When we arrived, we did not get a proper introduction to the place and the amenities, that would have been nice, otherwise everything was great and the personal was very nice and helpful
The location was great; the host was incredibly helpful; the breakfast was good.
