Hôtel Hermance

The room was very clean and it was good value for the cost. I arrived on a Sunday and the owners were not on site so I checked in using a code which the owners had sent me - the system worked fine. The room was perfectly adequate and breakfast was very well laid out. The owners are very proud of their hotel and they were so kind - I was on a bicycle trip and needed a bike repair shop - they went out of their way to help me out. Thank you! On Sunday there are only pizza restaurants open in town which was fine.

A cozy room with a bathtub. A magnificent breakfast, and very kind and attentive hosts.

The location is excellent, especially for those arriving by train. The hotel is functional and clean and the service at reception is very good. The breakfast was excellent and worth the money.

it was all fine. A kettle to make a cup of coffee in the room would be a welcome addition.

Directions were easy as there was a sign in the street, only a short walk from the railway station. Maggie checked us in and explained everything, she spoke English which made it easier for us! Yes the room was tiny, but it was fine for our night there. It was extremely clean. A continental breakfast was served, it had all the usual foods which we enjoy. We definitely recommend Hôtel Hermance.

Location easy to find with plenty of parking very close by (less than a minute).Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with very fresh criosants and some of the best coffee I've tasted in a long time.Room and bathroom very clean and the quartier was very quiet.The customer service was excellent beforehand in providing directions and details of how to access the property after reception closed.

Quieter upstairs guests!Although it worked fine, the parking was in 'la place' which was half taken up with a fun fair.

Very close to the train station and restaurants. Has stairless access. Pleasant staff/owners. Has bath tub and shower. Good value.

No air-conditioning. Small bathroom. Plain/limited breakfast. Not the hotels fault, but the city seems car crazy. Driving, driving all day long. This makes the city center not very pleasant, and hotel windows must be closed for quiet.

easily accessible local free parking. The local council should invest in more direction sineage It was difficult to get out of the town. My BMW sat nav got lost. !!

Small rooms, the lift should be operational. It would have been difficult negotiating the stairs for people who are non ambulant.

It's perfect for people who come or need to take the train in Bellegarde. The room was clean and I like the fact they provide toothbrushes.

The elevator was a bit sketchy. It acted as it wanted to drop us. It did NOT, but I had no safe feeling taking it.

Excellent location, quiet, friendly owners. The breakfast was good. and breakfast room was warm, pleasant and staff were present at all times for guests to come and eat. Bedroom was pleasantly decorated and modern.

Room was cold even with heater on. It took ages to warm up the room. The building was cold with no heating in corridors or stairs. I understand though that electricity bills are expensive. If the room heater had been stronger it would have been fine. The shower water pressure was weak too. Price was per room so if you travel by yourself you have to be prepared to pay same price as a couple as I understand. Price would have been fine without issues encountered above. Nobody was present when I arrived to check in. An email with code access was sent at 14pm on the day which I didn't see as I was travelling. This is understandable as owners could be waiting for hours for one or two customers. However as a customer this was an inconvenient.

Good Breakfast, friendly staff.

The toilet made loud noices all the time. All the restaurants in the city were closed. Fortunately we found a supermarket to buy some dinner.
