    Pros +

    • I chose this hotel as an option for one night during the trip - and it was a mistake. Because the hotel itself and the lake on which it is located, are a gem that you should come to for a few days! The room was spacious and very comfortable with an excellent WLAN connection. The view from the window on the lake - wonderful. The parking lot is very large. The breakfasts are excellent. The service is very nice. It's a pity that I came for one night :-(
    • The location is exceptional: very central and close to the "Burgsee". At least our room was very spacious with two TVs and had a bath room with both a shower and a bathtub. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly!
    • Location, location, location - it’s right at the lake. The staff is friendly. My room was spotless clean. The price is a bit high for what you get, but other hotels in Bad Salzungen are even more expensive.

    Cons -

    • The interior is rather minimalist; it could have been decorated a bit cozier. Smart TVs rather than ordinary ones would have been nice. The curtains did not really allow for a completely dark room; however, there was also no disturbingly bright light outside.
    • The interior is outdated - nothing is broken, but it’s quite ugly. The curtains are mostly for show, they didn’t block the morning sun. So I was awake very early. The double bed isn’t a real double bed, there is a gap between the two mattresses. No lift - that’s kinda strange in a spa town with mostly very old guests.

    No elevador

Very nice and helpful personel! The rooms are clean and spacious

It's quite outdated and the rooms could be therefor refurnished. Also, it is too expensive for such a hotel but I guess that in a small city with barely other options hotels can be pricey

Didnt like the pillows, typically German ! Breakfast was great and rooms very clean

A bar would have been brilliant but had to go to different location.

Great rooms and location Great breakfast . Despite the unlike topics the Hotel is great

No Restaurant, parking fee for guest , to get something to drink and eat you need to go outside but only 2 minutes to be on market , there is a beverage automat and coffee machine available. Breakfast will be extra charged with 14.50 euro

The room was very nice, huge comfortable, well lit with a nice view of the lake.

We had a problem with the shower temperature regulator. The water would suddenly become scolding hot, without warning or being adjusted. And the breakfast was ok, but not worth the 14.50€.

Nice location, parking at the hotel

All rooms are upstairs and no lift, as a Kurhotel a no go. Toilet paper in the room was nearly empty, we had to aask reception to get new ones and used tooth pick was left in the bathroom from the previous guests ontop of the soap dispenser.

Breakfast poor and too expensive for what received.

    7NilsPosted on: 8-20-2021

    Nice big room

A lot of steps to reach the room with baggage for a person at 86 . . . Too soft pillowsNo fridge (should in my opinion have priority before TV!)
