    Pros +

    • Staff was excellent. The food was exquisite. We had the best veal fillet ever, served by the sweetest waitress.
    • This was a solid German guesthouse with a garage with charging stations, comfy bed, good shower, nice staff, quiet, warm, and a splendid breakfast. Grocery stores and good town walking right out the door. We were happy clams.
    • We liked everything! It was the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. Kind staff, and the absolute cleanest hotel we have ever been. We came with our dog, and it was perfect!

    Cons -

    • Everything was perfect!
    • The inner climate was very dry because of the air heating. The room was not tempered when we arrived. The floor in the bathroom was not heated and was cold. The linen very synthetic.
    • The sting in the tail of being charged more than advertised on Booking.com when queried via email the owner bluntly stated said it is tax. Well this was the first hotel I have experienced this.. I guess one less returning guest. Not even tried to be apologetic..The car park is at a distance away so it is not convenient when you have heavy luggage. Nor any help was offered with my luggage.

    Beautiful renovated-very tasteful.

Great hotel. Lovely staff. Room was clean and modern. They accept dogs.

    Room was nice.

Communication with the hotel over booking.com was terrible. No information about restaurant opening hours was forthcoming until several email requests sent. Sunday and Monday restaurant is not open. The alternatives around this place are not good, a lousy Italian and a Greek (supposedly). We were advised they have their own car park over booking.com. This was not the case for us, we had to park on the street. The lady that checked us in was outright awful, she seemed like she could not be bothered with providing any help, and that we were just a nuisance.

When we arrived to check in they said there was some problem and that they did not have rooms for us. They claim they advised Booking.com and that we should have been told. A gentleman took us to another hotel in a village 4 km away. This hotel was comfortable and the staff were very nice. Someone somewhere in your company failed to let us know and caused us some anxiety as I am disabled and to in this situation was very uncomfortable.I trust that you will investigate this problem and let me know the result.

What a fantastic place: Excellent food, friendly staff and super value for money

Charming hotel in a charming town. The staff were very kind and everything went smoothly. The room was spacious and very nicely equipped. The beds were super comfy. Parking on street but in a small town that is not a problem.

The only thing that stood out is that they need to repaint the walls.

Fine restaurant with not too traditional food. One free charger for Teslas and one for other electric cars.Modern rooms

Very local, authentic and restful experience. Good, very fresh breakfast. Kind staff.

The bed linen might be more comfortable (at the moment they are like basic comfort Ikea-style).

The hotel - and room - appeared to be newly decorated. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom well equipped with a very good shower and the breakfast was excellent (and cheap).

Nothing - the only downside was that the restaurant and bar was closed for summer holidays so we didn’t get the opportunity to try this out.

Lovely hotel with great comfort and attention to every detail. Excellent restaurant with tasty and aesthetically presented dishes and a professional selection of wines. Very nice and hospitable staff.Close to the Autobahn, but in a quiet small town. There is a free Tesla charger on their parking as well as an extra non-Tesla charger (AC 11 kW).

We spent one night at the hotel with our children (1 and 4 year old) and our dog, the hotel is wonderful. The room is big and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is amazing. We were very happy here and we would like to spend more time at the hotel and in this nice city.

Fantastic and cheap breakfast, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, good rate, friendly staff. Really would recommend staying here to explore the Münsterland and Ruhr area, provided you have a car. Easy access to the motorway, easy parking.

A kettle for tea would have been nice.

The hotel was beautifully renovated. Modern and inviting, yet retained the cosy atmosphere of the old building. The rooms were perfect. The perfect hotel to rest from driving, as it is just a 2 minute drive from the highway

Room far exceeded expectations and we even got prepared sofa for small child!we didn't take the breakfast and there is bakery close by. Staff is nice and friendly, car can be parked on a street and there is also private parking available.

It was bit difficult to spot hotel entrance and find a reception, which is coupled with restaurant but maybe i was tired.

A very charming, small hotel-every detail with a good taste and the breakfast with local food were very tasty!

Only side effect were a loud talking and laughing during the night until around 2am in the terrace in front of hotel, but I understand somehow life goes easy on after some glasses of wine! But I don’t take it as hotels fault!
