Pros +
- New property on the water with a nice spa
- The spa is great, really nice facilities, hydro jets and cold water pool.Breakfast is OK, karjalanpiirakat are always a good idea.
- View from the room, breakfast!
Cons -
- Value for money
- If you pay for access to the spa, bathrobe is not included. The price 172€ per night is a joke, the room doesn't worth it (tired furniture, dirty, dusty).
- Small trash bins.

The view to the lake was exceptional. The hotel was new and very clean. The food in Ohtu Restaurant was exceptionally tasty.
It's a beautiful location and we loved the lake and the swim. The cottages are nice.
The booking com description makes you think that the Spa is included. It's not. You have to pay separately. The Sauna is in the spa area and you have to pay even for that. So after paying a big amount to stay there we were still asked to pay for the use of the sauna. We found the spa area crowded and wet. So it kind of gives you the factory feeling. We skipped all that and used the jetty to swim. The first floor terrace is beautiful for a sundowner.Karelian cottages have no drying racks for swimming suits and towels. This is an inconvenience. Apparently rooms in the hotel have a drying rack with heat. We would have liked atleast a rope or a rack to hang the wet swimming clothes but this was not possible. The jetty is meant for spa guests and also the beach chairs are also for the spa guests. If you stay at the hotel and you want to swim you need to come around the hotel to get there. You are treated like a second class guest. The view is beautiful. I think the organisation of the rooms should be done more from a client friendly angle. I have stayed in hotels around the world and from a global standard the services offered are not good. It feels like flying a low cost airline, where you have to pay per service. Disappointed.
The hotel is in a lovely location. We stayed in the houses away from the hotel. Dining options is pizza hell or a set menu of 4 courses, at a rather high price. The rooms in the huts contained not one spoon, knife or fork. Not a single glass even in the bathroom but four shabby paper plastic cups. The level of rooms were not acceptable considering the price and the facilities. I would not recommend this facility.
Food offering and facilities on rooms.
I enjoyed the breakfast as well as the location of the breakfast hall. The location of the resort is wonderful. I liked seeing the frozen expanse of the immense lake and can only imagine its sheer beauty in summer.
The construction activity underway, and the paths within the boundaries of the property were disruptive of the overall beauty of the experience, but I suppose this will be settled in due course. Also, I was very tempted by the Menu at the Bomba House but I wish there was a way in which it could have been somewhat affordable for me. However, this is not a complaint, simply a wish....
The breakfast was excellent. On our last day we had to leave at around 6am and upon request they kindly packed us a breakfast the night before. The place was really quiey. Great saunas. Friendly staff. Dryer in the room.
A bit over priced. It's a shame that hotel visitors have to pay so much extra for the spa. The pools were disappointing and not heat regulated, the hot tubs were definitely not as warm as promised. No hair dryer in the room and old bad ones in the spa.
Great location and excellent breakfast . Staff helpful
Lots of building work so very limited facilities to eat . Nowhere to buy a coffee or pack of sandwiches- pay a lot for evening buffet or go without. Kettle but no coffee provided. Very functional given the cost. Also had to pay extra to use pool or sauna.
Restaurant dinner v good. Takeaway brkfast good.
The path to room very gravelly. V difficult for luggage. Did not get help fr staff to move luggage. Lighting in room v dark. No teabags or coffee in room. Only 1 chair, so lacking. The voice recording on your outgoing message does not hv english option. Could not get in touch with front desk from train station. Such a mess.
The breakfast was great!
The lodge had only kettle NO COFFEE/TEA MILK OR SUGAR. Also the room were booked in the Sokos hotel but that was not the case, stayed in very small the dark log chalet bit disappointed.
Breakfast was tasty and good. There were many different kinds of foods. One thing that caught my attention was most of all warm foods like sausages, scrambled eggs, etc. are a bit dry. I think keeping a warming flame is a good system, but needs some adjustment. We are around 9 am at the table.
Only one sauna was included in the accommodation. There are two other kinds. It would be friendly to be available for non-spa users.
The swimming pool was big enough since there wasn’t a lot of people during our stay. We had the jacuzzi by ourselves. Excellent that there is a dryer inside the room. Staff at the reception, as well as in the Trattoria restaurant, were very nice and friendly. The food was good.
There was an on-going renovation and already noisy during the morning. The souvenir shop was still close. We haven’t had dinner at the Bomba talo because it was reserved for some guest. Reception should have reminded or given more info about these. We have to pay for the use of bathrobes and slippers.
The location and the spa are great. Staff was helpful.
The cottage was far below the expectation, and too overpriced for the quality. The cottage was freezing cold. Cold wind was blowing through the walls all the night and as a result I got sick and had to upgrade it to a normal room the next day.The description of the cottage is misleading. It is expected to be warm. I wanted to spend a relaxing holiday but instead I got sick. Also the toilet is not as the pictures show. It is common to have a small toilet shower, but in the cottage I have got there was not. Cottage number was 112.
Clean, nice kitchen (you see them working),
As a repeat customer; I think the place could be bigger. I mean, it is easy to experience everything on one stay. The nature does provide some changes, but that’s outside of the property. As a customer, I yearn for the feeling of discovery. Something new, something I can not experience on one go, a reason to come back.
Location was great, right in the middle of nature and next to the lake. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast had lots of options and was very nice. Beds were amazingly comfortable and room was nice.
We were expecting a relaxing stay as this is a spa hotel, however at the time we visited the majority of visitors seemed to be families with young children. The pool was full of children jumping, splashing and playing and was very noisy. Even in the evening, the sauna and steam rooms were quite rowdy and loud. Felt a bit more like a family holiday park than a spa. Also at around 10pm and around 5am there was a loud banging noise above us like someone jumping on the floor. Also be aware that you have to pay extra to hire a robe and slippers if you want to use the spa- they are not provided in the cost of the stay or the cost of the spa ticket which we felt was a little mean.
Breakfast, nice large room
Hot tub outside was uncomfortable in the cold
Very nice hotel next to the water. We ate at Bomba house and food was very good. The park of the hotel was also nice for walking and any other kind of activities. We went to the spa and was really relaxing, also enjoying jaccuzi outside. Breakfast was very good and plenty.
Price is a bit on the high side and spa was not included in the standard room price.
Quiet, relaxing, breakfast is great
The view from the room was excellent and very relaxing. The meals in the restaurant were also very tasty.
