- Great food. poor room
Cons -
- The beds were so soft it took away from the experience of being in a high-end hotel.
- The room. Open shower, Open toilet-unbelievable!! Bath in the middle of the floor!!?? Very tired and dated
- Room was above the bar, very noisy. Another guest entered room at midnight, surprised us all...not in a good way. Light didn't work in bedroom. Staff didn't seem concerned about any of the above, except maybe the light

Beautiful facility, location was good
Room was above the bar, very noisy. Another guest entered room at midnight, surprised us all...not in a good way. Light didn't work in bedroom. Staff didn't seem concerned about any of the above, except maybe the light
Beautiful location with classic room for leisure. Very good breakfast.
No shower, I had to hold on to the shower head by hand, sitting in the bad tub. No plugs by the bed for charging and no desk.
The location, spacious rooms, no problems with the parking, pleasant and efficient staff
No fridge in the room, open plan bathroom - the bathroom is separated from the living room by a glass wall (looks nice until someone needs to use the toilets while others are in the living room), paper-thin walls (snoring from one side, loud music from another).
Great room, larger than I expected. Also really kind receptionists. We were also able to wash clothes here, which was great for us traveling by.
Note that the bathroom have a glass wall and door with no blur. Not necessarily a bad thing, just to be aware of it.
Nice place to stay, well equipped and clean, beautiful area around!
Not tried - 3 days before due to an accident were in hospital. No response from the hotel
We have booked a nonrefundable stay - but 3 days before checkin due to an accident were in the hospital for a week. No steps towards our situation wasn't made by the hotel. Yes, they have right to do so, as it was not refundable. But it's not client oriented in any case. At least they could offer a discount for other dates.
resounding disappointment
We arrived at Hotel Villa Ruimzicht full of anticipation, after all, it's considered one of the leading hotels in the city. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that reality was light-years away from the enticing advertisements. The Journey to the Hotel: Our troubles began right from the start. We arrived in the city by train late at night and discovered that there was no available transportation to the hotel, not even taxis. The train station was filled with questionable individuals. We were forced to walk for a long hour, dragging our heavy suitcases behind us. Our attempts to contact the hotel were in vain – there was no answer on the phone. The hotel had a WhatsApp service, and I thought I was talking to a person who was helping me, but it turned out to be a bot that didn't relay the message anywhere, and the receptionist said he didn't know about this bot.Arrival at the Hotel: When we finally reached the long-awaited hotel, another surprise awaited us. We had to wait for a long time outside the door, knocking repeatedly until it was finally opened by an impatient receptionist. We were very hungry when we arrived, but we found out that all the restaurants in the area were closed. We turned to the reception in hopes of help, but all we were offered was a slice of bread with butter, which we had to pay dearly for.The Room: The room was okay, nothing special. We found it strange that the bathroom didn't have a door. The Elevator: The hotel's strange elevator added another layer of frustration. To keep the elevator moving, we had to press the button continuously. Any slight release of the finger caused the elevator to stop abruptly.Breakfast: Breakfast was mediocre, with a limited and uninspired selection of pastries and basic cheeses. The Shower: The supposedly luxurious shower was actually a technological nightmare.
Location / good vibe
Kitchen is expensive for what you getVery small portions
Big clean rooms, friendly staff and beautiful huge garden. Close to the centrum, ideal voor some restfull days. Bed was soft ,I liked it.
No fridge in the room, at least I haven't see it. The shower/toilet door is from glass.
Bath inside the room
Light wasn’t working on top the mirror very bad for making make up,bath Iid was dirty like slime under ,kitchen staff was useless no understanding english language (was asking vegetarian food -showed me ham,17,50€ for breakfast and nothing to eat only eggs and bread ,was asking double bed but there were 2 single bed together in one bed frame
The breakfast was excellent, especially as it was noon when I ate it.I loved my stay here. It is a beautiful hotel, my room was very comfortable, and everyone was welcoming.
Nice building, formerly a boarding school. Nice renovations, with very modern decoration and room layout/facilities. We liked the pod coffee machines in our rooms. Bathrooms are spacious and welll appointed. Staff are very friendly. It's on the edge of a small town and apparently very close to the woods - we did not explore. The town centre with ample restaurants and bars is a 15-20 minute walk away. There is private parking - across the road.
We had 2 double rooms, one much larger than the other. The large one had a long table with 4 (6?) chairs at it and generous coffee/tea making facilities. The smaller room had 1 comfy chair but no high table/side table/cupboard. So there was no space to comfortably sit with your coffee or do anything you might need to sit at a table for. Also, the corridors and lobbies are all painted in a very dark colour with fashionable but not bright lighting. It made my 85 year old aunt very uncomfortable and uncertain walking around in. We asked for and got a stand up lamp to place inside the entrance door to her room because she was coming in from a very dark corridor into a very dark entrance hall of her room.
Nice environment, location and beautiful old former school building. Walking distance from citycentre.
We had 2 rooms, this review is of the large one, which came with a large table with 4 chairs, had a good coffee maker, a large and comfortable bathroom. We liked the room very much. The hotel is a 15 minute walk away from restaurants, bars, shops.
Location and breakfast. Supportive and helpful staff
Room facilities poor and room layout not passable
Moderate breakfast.. nice location .. friendly staff
Rooms are cleaned upon repeated request and not yet perfect cleaning.. bathroom and shower area was totally in glass although it is a family room.. hotel is vintage but needs necessary renovations
Nice property, lovely to sit outside ! nice garden with beautiful trees
shower was in the bathtub
