    Pros +

    • A pleasant location, out of town near a lake. Good spacious rooms with comfortable beds and openable windows, some of which have mosquito screens. Good breakfast. Good restaurant, we had a lovely dinner.
    • I booked it liking there is a fitness center/sauna and most importantly beautiful pool with diving boards for myself and teen boys… however it was not stated anywhere throughout booking that these amenities were unavailable during our stay… and in which case was no discount or partial refund granted, paying top dollar for a hotel that was serving bare minimum amenities. This really impacted my experience with IDINGSHOF. Mc Donald’s was close by.
    • Everything if you want idyllic surroundings with excellent staff and fantastic currywurst plus the very highly skilled greeting cat this is the place for you. The hotel is marvellous blend of the very old original farm buildings and the new buildings in a fantastic rural setting. Top notch.

    Cons -

    • Design of the reception and communal areas is quite poor and dreary - it feels quite stuffy and dark as one moves around the hotel and a little bit like being in a school. There was no kettle in the room and we were told at reception that we could be given one, but no cups were available. Eventually we were given a jug of hot water and we found mugs ourselves in one of the breakfast coffee stations. Pillows, while large, were stuffed with what seemed to be foam pellets and were not that comfortable.

This is a beautiful hotel in the country with views of horses and a short walk to a lovely lake. The rooms have coffee/tea pots and big comfy armchairs. There is a beer garden out back and the restaurant has lots of dinner choices. Breakfast was delicious too!

We appreciated free car park next to the hotel. All the staff was really nice and restaurant meal delicious.Rooms were big and beds comfortable. Breakfast was nice, something for everyone.

Hotel is advertised as 4* hotel and is presented as such in pictures on booking.comLive version is bit dated, my idea of a hidden country club was ruined by the first impression which was road leading in running next to the run down public swimming pool and its carpark. Inside it is clean and tidy but feel slightly outdated. Also the bit of the hotel where we were staying had quite an unpleasant odour. Its ok for a night but definitely not a touch of luxury.

Very good, clean and comfortable rooms. Good localization

Very friendly staff, clean and big room with a good bed.The hotel has all "necessary" facillities, like a swimming pool and sauna.Enough outside parking space and a good complete breakfast.

The room was a little bit colder as wanted and there was no real adjustable heating in the room.

Blankets bigger and warmer, in the night it was a little bit cold.

Front desk staff very nice & welcoming during check in. Good breakfast with lots of choices. Plenty of parking. Nice rooms and clean bathrooms. Good value for money. Got sick 1 night and next day the front desk was very helpful with getting local paramedic assistance & advice. Much appreciated.

    Everything was fine.

    The setting

The room was so warm. If you opened the window the mosquitoes came in but there was no air conditioning and the duvet was so thick

Nice and peaceful location, hotel with good facilities. We had a family room which was quite spacious and bed quite comfortable.Breakfast was good, not a lot of choice, but we are not fussy eaters. We used indoor tennis courts, this is free of charge and great activitie after a long drive. We also had the chance to use the swimming pool and sauna. We had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Well kept hotel, nice bright and clean room, perfect bathroom and resonable price. Good breakfast.

    The bed was VERY hard.

    7HansPosted on: 7-15-2024

Nice quiet location. Room was allright but to call it Comfort is a bit too much for a very basic room.Bathroom is fine.

No airconditioning, which means on the top floor it is very warm. Avoid in summer!Communication via booking.com is not easy, Expect German standard emails with broken links, which may make sense for native speakers only. I thought they canceled my booking and/or was required to do an upgrade.Restaurant serves good food but small portions and too expensive. Very strict in reservations only! The number of towels became less each day. On the third day we were left with two.

Staff, restaurant, breakfast, room with balcony

Carpet in restaurant and hallways are worn

    8ThomasPosted on: 6-19-2024

Nice bar, really friendly staff at bar, reception, dinner restaurant and at breakfast restaurant

Fitness gym was very small with just 3 devices. Pricing of dinner buffet was too high compared to selection offered

    8ElainePosted on: 6-17-2024

Food in restaurant good. Staff nice. Location by lake

No tea coffee making facilities in room

    9AndrewPosted on: 6-14-2024

Nice hotel, large room and bathroom. Beautiful grounds. Large balcony.

    Bed slightly firm.

    9JjPosted on: 6-13-2024

Spacious, clean and comfortable room! Ample parking close to the hotel so secure for guests with luggage packed cars. Dinner was lovely with several good options for vegetarians and nice wine list. Really good choice at breakfast with lots of fruit and juices available.
