Pros +
- It was spacious, fashionable, comfortable and clean! Also, the proprietors are a family who’ve been running the hotel for over five decades. They extended that warm hospitality that you only get in these family inns, such as helping us check in early and receiving my Amazon delivery even before I’d arrived.
- We travelled to Mayen with our family using 3 rooms. The rooms were very well appointed and the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was large with plenty of towels and really nice showers. The breakfast was very nice and there was a large variety of foods. Each table had its own platter of cold cuts/cheeses etc. On a seperate table were more of the musli, jams, jellies and honey as well as a large selection of fruit.
- This is a family owned/run hotel, the atmosphere is very friendly and kind. I felt at home the whole week I was here. The breakfast is ok, there is everything you need. The hotel even has a living/playing room. The check in process is simple, also when you are late. I will defenitely go there again! A place like this should be embraced.
Cons -
- The hotel breakfasts are the same every day. It’s really good and there’s a spread, but some people may want variety.Fyi, the proprietor prepares the breakfasts herself as a tradition.
- There is no hotel parking per say, but there was plenty of parking available. We travelled with three cars and never had a problem finding a place to park close to the hotel. Not really a problem, but worth pointing out.
- The firedoors must be closed, like everywhere else, so sometimes its not easy to get the warmth out. But how many hot days are there in a year ;)

Host was very nice and had good communication. Check in was smooth and Easy. Spacious room and bathroom along with off street parking.
Decent sized roomsCleanFriendly staff at breakfast and checkoutVery good breakfast
No staff at check-in, all self-serviceDated roomsNot the most comfy beds
Spacious room with a bathroom the size of the room, old traditional building, friendly staff, very clean, they cleaned the room every day even though I said I didn’t need it that often.
I didn’t have there to wash my clothes, staying for 10 days I needed it. The distance to the centre is about 10 minutes by foot.
Nice place for overnight. Self-service bar coffee/tea area accessible until 10PM is nice. Breakfast space typical German environment, we liked it.
Clean, secure parking for motorcycles, friendly staff, nice hotel .
Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was well worth the money with good choice of continental items. Good location for the town centre.
Nothing!
Good breakfast, easy to park on street, have nice Greek restaurant nearby
Nice small hotel on walking distance from the city centre (aprox 10 mins).Decent sized room, good bed and good bathroom. Breakfast was simple but nice, and good coffee.
It was 30 degrees during our stay, would have been nice to have at least a fan in the room,
Very nice family hotel. Rooms are clean. The hosts are very helpful.
The service was great. The family is really nice, even as my girlfriend barely speaks german they have no problem switching languages and doing their utmost best.
The only thing i personally found an issue was that it was a plain normal bed, 2 seperate matrasses and no topper. Meaning it was a very low bed, but you cant comfortable sleep together as one is laying in a crack. Besides that it was great. If ever upgrading the beds, i recommend boxsprings.
Clean
Breakfast was continental , no hot food.
Breakfast could have been better.
