Every morning new freshly made breakfast specialties, beautifully kept property, very welcoming staff who went beyond our expectations with their kindness and help.

Quiet location, great staff.

Difficult parking.

Just 20-30 minutes from Heraklion, set in the hills of Crete, surrounded by ruins, vineyards & small towns, this wonderful villa is just completely special. From the warm welcome to the charming suite with view, to the lovely pool, easy parking, nice breakfast buffet & great service, we loved everything! We spent some time driving around the area to see the oldest olive tree, some special towns & the Palace of Knossos, which was pretty close. It was nice to be in the countryside.

Honestly, we would have loved it even more if it was adults only, especially the pool. But it is a very safe place for kids.

Lovely hotel, beautiful landscaping. Rooms are a bit outdated but they are spacious and clean. Pool are was very nice,, breakfast good. Great coffee.

The place is beautiful, the staff very sweet and attentive, breakfast has a great variety. The location is great - short drive to Heraklion, the museums and other sites, to the wine routes, some hiking trails, the tavernas in Katalagari are walking distance and the more busy but fun Archanes is a short drive away. Our suite was very spacious, the mattress great. Our suite was a bit dark - but good during hot summers. It was a great start of our Crete road trip!

Unfortunately, 5 years ago, a bigger road was built. It’s not super busy, but can be disturbing if you are looking for quiet hours by the pool.

Nice place over all. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very nice breakfast. The staff were awesome! as they gave us some dinner options in the nearby villages.

Only negative would be the traffic noise.

Very rich breakfast corresponding to my preferences (cereals, egg, ham)

The WiFi is slow, but I understand that this is the problem of the whole area.

This is a wonderful and relaxing place. The structure and the room are very nice. The location is wonderful with the view on the wineries valley and 20 minutes from the Heraklion airport. From here you can easily go to everywhere in the Heraklion region (Knoss; Festum, Mallia; Matala;etc.) by car. The breakfast was great. People very friendly.

Large suite with separate bedroom and large bathroom. Own entrance. Very quite. Brilliant staff who couldn’t do enough and speak good English.

The road noise at times.

Breakfast, friendly staff, wonderful views, very quiet for a good night's sleep, lovely lush gardens with all kinds of flowers and fruit trees, easy walk to a nice restaurant in the village but would recommend driving to Archanes for more choice.

The handheld shower was a little annoying (especially if you're tall!)We didn't spend a lot of time at the pool but the noise from the road would make it not very relaxing if that's what you plan to do all day.Little tricky to drive in and out of if you're not a confident driver.

Beautiful views over valley. Really lovely clean and large room with balcony. Very good breakfast. Katalagari is a great base to explore local towns which are very local and give a great impression of local Cretan culture.

The road was a bit busier and closer than we expected.

My vacation was so short ?

Wonderful apartments near Heraklion, about 20 minutes' drive from the airport. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The area is very nice. Wireless internet is fast. Beautiful views, clean and cosy. I recommend it? I would like to come back again ❤️ Thank you, you exceeded my expectations

Location, staff, really comfortable beds, brilliant breakfast

Me and my friends spent a week in Katalagari Country Suites! We loved the whole atmosphere if the place, the easiness of how everything functions within this beautifully done complex with apartments and suites!The staff was top, absolutely amazing, we just loved everybody and they made you feel so at home! There was room cleaning every day and the cleanliness was perfect!There is a wonderful breakfast with variety of options, it is great for vegans as well!The pool area is great, the water is fresh and the hygiene is very high!During the day the restaurant of the complex is also open until certain time where you can order some food and drinks if you decided to have a day chilling around the pool and if you are not in a mood to explore around.The suits are nice too, they are equiped with most of the things you need for cooking, preparing coffee, you have a balcony or a patio where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains ahead. You will definetely need a car to be able to reach this amazing complex and to be able to travel to the closest towns and villages but there are different options for dining within the villages around as well as grocery stores. You can always chose to drive to Heraklion too which is just around 20 minutes away. We found it very easy to travel around and find places.The whole island of Crete is wonderful to be explored!I would highly recommend this accomodation and I would visit it again at some point in future.

Some of the beds were little bit uncomfortable, at least the ones that were in the commons area, they were also kind of small and short.

We had a wonderful stay at Katalagari! It was peaceful, very clean and comfortable and spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The village was small and with very few tourists. We enjoyed delicious dinners at the local restaurants. Great pool. The breeze was so pleasant we slept without airco in august.

Wife signal was a bit weak in our room.

This was easily the best place I have stayed at in many years of travel. The staff are fantastic, the room nicely furnished, functional and very clean. I loved every day we spent there and wish I had booked a much longer stay. Should I come back to Crete I have no doubt that I would go back.

Wounderful place in the mountains and very peaceful. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the views breathtaking. The restraunt by the pool has a good menu and the breakfast was fantastic. I originally planned to stay a few days and then move to different parts of the island but I was so confortable there I booked for the rest of my holiday.

this is a perfect place if you are happy being a little way away from the centre of the beach-holiday atmosphere of Crete. in fact, it made the holiday more perfect because all the places we wanted to visit were a short drive away, and yet we came home each day to the most beautiful countryside hotel we could imagine. the tranquil setting and the pool time was wonderful for us and our kids. we had a self-catering unit that was perfect for our dietary needs. the staff were wonderful.
