This luxurious oceanfront boutique Hotel has a private beach and stunning views of Nicoya Gulf and Jacó's crescent beaches. It offers gourmet dining, a serenity spa and magnificent infinity pool. The lavish rooms at Hotel Villa Caletas have Victorian design, with quality black wood furniture and grand 4-poster beds. All have mosaic floors and some have a terrace with hydro-massage tub. The concierge at Villa Caletas offers rainforest hiking tours, canopy-walks and beach horseback rides. Guests can use the gym, and unwind with a perfumed oil massage. The Anfiteatro Restaurant at Caletas Villas offers individual terraces with dramatic sunset views. Mirador Restaurant serves French and Central American fusion food, fine wines, and sinful deserts. Guests can enjoy the ocean view from the infinity pool, with a miniature waterfall and tropical island. They can also order exotic cocktails and dishes on Caletas Beach, one mile from the hotel.

Everyone was SO Friendly!!!!! Beautiful area!
The staff was excellent and the views and atmosphere phenomenal. The overall appearance could use some help. I know it is old but it needs some TLC.
The views were absolutely breathtaking. I dont think we've ever seen a more beautiful sunset. Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest and birds and nothing else was everything we wanted for my 40th birthday trip. Food was also delicious! We love it!

Cons -

Pool area was messy with glasses, etc,,, one night even food was left out and a raccoon type creature was eating it by the pool. They need to have this area picked up and attended to ALL DAY! Especially since some of the glasses were glass!!!!
The parking was difficult and not all the on-site restaurants area sites were available. The staff were hard workers & seem to be short handed..

The location and amenities

A lot of the staff were rude but we did have a great experience with 1-2 staff. It was really hard to get answers or help. For expample it took us almost an hour to get a towel by the infinity pool, after ringing the bell and asking multiple stuff members
