About
This characteristic 18th century manor house in the town of Medina Sidonia, built to be like a balcony overlooking the province of Cádiz from 984 feet altitude. Set in the historic center of this town, the establishment preserves what remains of the old city wall, dating from the 10th century. In line with characteristic architecture of the region, constitutes the Palace House that was once. Walking through its characteristic narrow streets, you can get to many of the monuments in the historic center, as well as the Roman archaeological remains. Medina Sidonia is located 25 mi from Cadiz and 19 mi from La Barrosa Beach in Chiclana.

Pros +
- Nice old building, tastefully decorated. Standard hotel room. Spanish breakfast, served at the table.
- Beautiful hotel full of character. Large and comfortable room very close to town square. Staff very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Had a great evening meal.
- Close to the happening place at the “square” on a weeknight. Lots of kids and families out enjoying the area, but hotel was quiet and comfortable.
Cons -
- Nothing all was good. They had a town festival with a large gathering outside which was not great for sleeping but then again that's not the hotel fault
- The parking garage is in a very narrow street
- No kettle etc in the room.

Location is peaceful and isolated for a good rest. Restaurant was excellent
The parking garage is in a very narrow street
Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Excellent location in Medina.
No kettle etc in the room.
Comfy quality rooms in a historic building. Nicely refurbished hotel, pleasant bar, convenient free parking up the street. Excellent lighting in my room. Very central.
Tired A/C unit in my room. Annoying liquid soap dispensers. No hair dryer (available on request). Fluctuating room rates... Streets slippery when wet.
Perfect location for visiting family. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfast was superb - far more than I could eat - cheese, local ham, fruit, toast and coffee and proper fresh orange juice. The room was simple but the bed was incredibly comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. Parking is easy and they will show you where to go - not easy in an old town with narrow streets! Totally recommend this hotel.
Great location if a little hard to get to by car! Nice quiet room with bath and hot water at 6 pm
538/1500Переведенный текстHotel in an old palazzo in the centre of the historic town (unfortunately the owner does not give any information about the history of the building, this would be interesting). Fantastic lobby with columns. The room is very modest, with a badly closing door (this was surprising because it doesn't match at all what you see when you enter the hotel). In the same building is a colourful restaurant with very good service. Parking on the next street (they give you a pass at the hotel). Moving around the city by car, including getting to the car park, requires a certain level of willfulness on the part of the driver
Very clean and quaint hotel in the mountain. Personnel friendly and eager to help.
This was truly like staying in a palace. We loved everything about it. The room was very spacious with comfortable beds. The receptionist was very helpful with the parking closeby. The breakfast was also very nice. We had coffee and tostada and it was beautifully served.
Nothing, I wished we could have stayed longer
Great location in the town as long as you don’t mind driving on very narrow streets. Has a convenient car park just a few hundred yards away. Hotel has plenty of character and the breakfast is so big you would need a phenomenal appetite to finish it all off. A short walk down the hill gets you into the main square with plenty of options for an evening meal if you don’t want to eat in the hotel.
Good value clean
Lacked interior design charm but the building itself beautiful
We loved everything about our stay. Every single member of staff there was exceptional! We booked the suite on a half-board basis; some dishes had a supplement charge but were well worth it. It was amazing! Good food choices at the hotel's restaurant, "Cabeza Del Toro.". Beautiful architecture within the hotel keeping to most of what the building was, an old Palacio (Palace), very central to every tourist site, the museums, monasteries, churches, main street, castle. Big bonus: the hotel has parking for guests if you're driving there yourself. I cannot stress this out enough. The staff you currently have are an exceptional team, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Nothing! The hotel and the town itself exceeded our expectations; we got exactly what we wanted—a nice quiet break away just the 2 of us, exploring something totally new to us.
Hotel is within a walking or driving distance from many of the cities attractions. It is a very nice town to explore on foot, some uphill walking as expected but well worth it. You can find Mercadona (with a gorgeous vista just behind it) and a petrol station within few minutes of the hotel. Hotel itself is quiet enough and looks apart, very nice interior and rooms are cozy although view is hit and miss depending on which one you get. Parking is close by but uphill and kind of against traffic so might be tough to park during busy hours.
Little to no parking right outside, even to offload luggage, be prepared. Breakfast unfortunately was non existent - literally. We showed up 30min or so into breakfast hours but there was no food selection prepared and almost none that we could order. We were given a menu instead with most items unavailable. No refund for breakfast fee was offered either. I would avoid the breakfast unless you confirm there is one served.
Mattress and pillows were great, common use rooms were very cosy, staff was very attentive.
Beautiful historic building tastefully restored. Bar area and restaurant very atmospheric. Good location for all the sites in the town. Parking is a plus point but directions to the parking should be given before arrival. Bedrooms large and the large beds are very comfortable.
Plates were cold in the restaurant and the lamb chops were practically meatless !
We enjoyed the spacious room and bathroom overlooking the street, the comfortable bed, historic features also the interesting public spaces on the ground floor. The breakfast was generous and varied with kind waiters.
As other comments have pointed out, access by car is tortuous though once we reached the hotel they were helpful in directing us to the carpark uphill. Medina Sidonia is badly signposted altogether - not the hotel's fault - and finding our way out of town was also tricky!
This is a stylish, and beautiful hotel in a wonderful classic hilltop Pueblo Blanco. The town has narrow, steep streets never really planned for cars. The hotel has a drop off spot for luggage and a large private car park nearby. We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a road trip around Andalusia. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff who served breakfast, bar and restaurant were really friendly. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant.Try the walk around the towns historic sights, (map provided by reception). The big church of Santa Maria on the hill is well worth a visit if you like medieval art.
I wish we had planned to stay here a few more nights!
Quiet location and beautiful view
