Rocca Resort

Excellent location, picturesque place on the shore of one of the most beautiful lakes in Bulgaria. Romantic atmosphere. The hotel has its own swimming pool and a good restaurant. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, equipped with everything necessary.

Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night and didn't have time to notice any shortcomings. :)

Everything was almost great but there should be coffee machine or kettle at rooms. There is no coffee machine or kettle at rooms.

The venue and its location is lovely, the food in the restaurant is very delicious. The pool is super clean.

The villas are not the best choice - beds are very uncomfortable, missing mosquitoes nets, and no furniture to leave your stuff, if you are staying for more than 2 nights. The breakfast was definitely something to be improved.

The resort has a beautiful view over the lake. Everything was very clean and the rooms were large (we were in a villa). Would come again.

The villa was excellent, with all relevant amenities. A pretty terrace overlooking the pool. The pool itself was great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The views were breathtaking and overall our family had a wonderful time. The staff were extremely accommodating.

There was a loud group of tourists in the rooms next door and they kept us awake until quite late the first night. But that is not the fault of Rocca Resort in any way.

The breakfast was good but outside so not very clean (flying flies around). And one of the day it was not a buffet, but we had to choose 1 thing from the menu which was disappointing. The rest of the days the buffet was great

Nice view, very good swimming pool, tasty breakfast with some "home-made" food and specialties, friendly and helpful staff.

The Wi-Fi coverage was not perfect at some places.

The location is the best feature of this hotel. The view of the lake is amazing, and you can easily go down there from the hotel.

1. You only get one key per room, not the most convenient when you have two people staying. We asked for an extra key but were denied.2. For someone who is a foodie, my review is very highly based on their rule that no food or alcoholic drinks are allowed in the rooms. I don't think it is very much enforced as we were allowed to take our wine glasses from the restaurant to the room, however seeing these signs still upset me. Especially, if you do not allow food in the rooms, you better have the most amazing food in your restaurant, which is not the case. The breakfast is quite poor and dry, and our last dinner was completely ruined when I decided to order a steak. The waitress did ask me how I like it cooked and I asked for a medium. They brought me a completely well done steak. I pointed this out to the waitress, who then went off and came back to tell me that they cannot cook it to medium - then why would you even ask me in the first place? I then ordered something else from the menu which took over an hour to make. I was not even hungry at that point, especially since my boyfriend already finished his food ages ago (the food also don't come out for everyone at the same time and he got his food way before my disaster-of-a-steak came, which is again not a decent restaurant experience). The red wine was also served at a room temperature, and when it is over 30 degrees outside it is not a nice temperature for any drink.3. When we were checking-out the lady at the reception did not even ask if our stay was ok, the only thing that she asked was: did you have anything from the mini bar? No, ok have a nice day.This hotel is very much a business and not a home away from home. People look annoyed by you, no warm interactions, welcome or goodbyes, the only perk is the location and the views. On Google it says it is a 5 star hotel, which I'm not sure where they got this from. We will not be back.

Rooms were good with view to Kardjali dam and the garden. Breakfast was very good.

It was so clean and nice. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the portions were so big. Staff was very friendly.
