The stay over all was good. The property has excellent environment. Lush green on the side of chilika with a nice swimming pool. The food was also great, but the breakfast could have been better. Anyways it was a great stay.

Breakfast spread was good, and some items kept changing through our stay. The staff was attentive, and there was so much variety that we couldn't go through all the items even through our 3 day stay. The Executive Chef made it a point to check up with most customers about the taste of the items.

Maybe the mosquitoes, inspite of the best efforts at fogging by the resort.

1) The hot water came finally on the morning of our departure. Every other time the hot water was cold to lukewarm.2) Soap dispensers were not working in the shower. They were never repaired.3) The room was full of mosquitos. Room service sent us a racquet to deal with them at night!4) Room cleaning does not seem to involve actual cleaning: the bed is made and towels are changed, but even trash cans are not emptied5) At the restaurant they push you to have the buffet, which is filled with fried or heavy food. No matter what you try to order from the a la carte menu you are told that it will take 30 to 45 minutes to prepare. The only light food they could arrange for dinner was rice and dal6) Any request to talk to the manager seems to go into a black hole

Service Apathy Nightmare

Worst service experienced at a resort, the staff is untrained and clueless about most of the things. The place is highly overpriced and feels like a scam: they give only half the toiletries (asking for a second dental kit was a task), the tissues couldn't be of cheaper quality, hot water last for only one person to shower, and the list goes on. IMPORTANT: The cafe doesn't have a written menu stating allergen information about the food served which is grossly negligent considering the place is located in a remote area with poor accessibility to outside world. I suffered an allergic reaction and all they could do was simply apologise. We were booked for two nights but decided to check out after 12hrs after paying 10K for a night of suffering. NOTE: If you want to see the Chilika dolphins, better stay on the Puri end of the lake.

. Located at the bank of Chilika lake so beautiful views of the lake from hotel. . Well Maintained property and awesome scenic beauty inside the property. . Tasty sea food and foods of all cuisine. . Awesome sunset view with the evening cruise . Nice trip to Maa KaliJai temple in Kalijai Iceland. . Courteous hotel staff and cruise staff.

. Explanation of use of electronics and bathroom fittings at entry into the room. . No Wheel chair accessible rooms and no side bars in the room stairs. . Bath room showers are not senior citizen friendly as these are below the floor level and inside the tub.

Amazing service and hospitality by Mr. Prakash Sahoo, Mr. Lipuna Pradhan, Mr. Bhupen & Mr. Gyan. Sea food was excellent & ambience was cozy. Pani puri was amazing! Rooms were comfortable, clean and nice.

Check out procedure took way too long & can be improved.

Housekeeping is pathetic. Towels are not clean. Very unprofessional staffMosquitoes are everywhere. No pest controlAC wasn't working in the bar and restaurantNot a value for money. They are more interested in event organisation in the property so people visiting for leisure are not important, is what I could judge. Manager tried his best, but I guess the support staff is very poorly trained.

Food was the worst...As per our request the prepared food was not upto the mark during lunch period.Chef should be responsible for what, we as a customer need.The preparation of water rice was pathetic, because we asked for a bit soft but they didn't listened.Secondly the fish was even more worse..It smelled like rotten.Please be careful what you're offering to the customer.

The room was nicely laid out with the four poster bed, two balconies. Well thought out design for one piece of luggage and wardrobe space, with sufficient sitting and work space. The housekeeping staff was wonderfully responsive. The restaurant and bar were quite nice and the service at both places was excellent.

The bathroom was a disaster, with a plumbing problem every time we had a shower. Without the housekeeping staff to help with the flooded floors we would have been at sea, almost literally. The bathroom also had a very bad smell. The only way we could cope with this was to keep the door to the room tightly shut and both balcony doors wide open all the time and keeping the bathroom's exhaust on all through the night.

Pricy for the amenties provoided. Facility needs upkeep. Staff enthusiasm can be improved. Ancillary services are expensive

Swosti Chilika is well spread out, very green, very well maintained green areas, it has cycling etc for kids, excellent swimming pool, a good Recreation room. Thus an ideal resort to spend time in. It has a Motor Boat facility for a ride into Chilika Lake up to KaliJoi Temple. The Deluxe Suite rooms with Private Plunge Pool are an excellent accommodation, huge space, great living room, bedroom, varandh sitting, very attractive Plunge Pool with Jacuzzi.Staff is service oriented and cares about the customer comfort.The Veg Odisiha Thali we asked in AlaCarte was excellent, Chef takes personal interest in guests preferences. The Resturant staff Mahendra gave excellent service. HareKrishna, the Front Office Manager was very service oriented and very helpful.They had good celebrations for the guests in eve before the new year party.

There is nothing much to do outside the resort, so great for relaxing and visit limited to Chilika Lake.Breakfast Buffet management is little lower than expected, both in terms of look & feel and coverage. The usual Deluxe rooms are little tight on space, don't have drawers/storage and Poster Bed may look great, but is a hiderance to mobility & space in the room. Linen, specially towles in these rooms need replacement.In the Deluxe Suites, with a private Plunge Pool, having a sunken bath area is an overkill having less utility.
