MD HOTEL Dongtan

Pros +

• Room was wonderful, large, clean, and the bath was perfect. Bed was very comfortable. Great for a few-day stay. The staff were lovely. The light from the windows was beautiful, and the large desk and solid wifi made it a great space for my wife and I to co-work for a few days. The area is populated with many bars, cafes and restaurants. Coffee in the area was great; otherwise a pretty bland, industrial area wouldnt recommend as a sightseeing visit, but perfect if you need somewhere comfortable to work for a few days.

Cons -

• It felt more like an apart-hotel rather than a hotel. Theres no room service whatsoever, no facilities outside of the room or the foyer to sit and work etc, no ability to use the cafe outside of breakfast and lunch hours (not even to sit with a coffee and work), and it was largely empty compared to a typical hotel with all the typical services and amenities. That said, the room was very large and good value for the price. The bath was a wonderful, calming addition, and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend carpeting the rooms to reduce noise between rooms. but on the whole it wasnt that noisy given how empty the hotel was.
