Old building architecture, small town and hotel by the river

The kitchen closes by 8 pm, no options for late meals.

Beautiful riverside building, Clean, fresh and well appointed rooms with great food and service.

Simple and clean pub accommodation with excellent dinner options available. Free cereal and yogurt available as well as extra towels and blankets as needed.

There was a strange loud intermittent noise outside my room (behind the building) from about 5.30am.

Localisation is a great plus, breakfast already prepared in the room - a nice surprise, beautiful old building that is very well renovated, very comfortable beds and the possibility to enjoy the porch in the morning

Great location next to the river. Pub offers good food and the bonus of having breakfast in the room was great.

Beautiful old pub in a charming town.

Beware of twin room as the room is internal and has no access to the outside. The windows open on a corridor, not outside. This is not specified in the room description.

Great location! The room was clean and the restaurant service was very good with nice food.The supply for breakfast was more than enough for us.

We know this is the hotel with share toilets. Any way the toilet is clean and no waiting at all.

Good location, staff pleasant, Good place for overnight stay when travelling. Town very nice and clean. Hotel old but well maintained and comfortable. Shared bathrooms all clean. Breakfast advertised as continental but it consisted of small cereal packets in the room. Utensils provided.

Fan in room worked well at very low speed, when put on medium to high it rattled. The room opened onto a shared verandah with some tables and chairs. Other patrons smoked in this area allowing the smoke to permeate into our room. No smoking should be allowed in this area as the hotel does have a no smoking policy in the room. We checked with the cleaner in the morning who advised us this the was a designated smoking area. Unfortunately the persons in the adjoining room had a domestic dispute with raised voices on and off until 1am. We kept ringing the hotel number with no response. We could hear the phone ringing in the bar area of the hotel which was closed. It would appear no night assistance is available as the reception area is located in the bar and had not transferred to a night assistance number. We were told when checking in, the reception, did not open until 11am and to leave the key in door when leaving.

Loved the old style yet modern pub accommodation. Very comfy room with everything you need and a balcony you can sit outside on.

Dinner was great - rooms and shared bathrooms very clean.

Beautiful historic building with nicely refurbished rooms. Comfortable beds, clean and quiet. Bathrooms clean and everything works. Fridge in the room with breakfast supplied a nice surprise.

Very noisy compressor just outside the rooms.

A wonderful heritage building in a gorgeous town. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great bed linen. The shared bathroom facilities were perfectly adequate but nothing special. They were clean though. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good and staff were friendly. You can sit out on the lovely balcony - we watched a rain storm which was cool.

Charming mix of old & new. A very comfy bed and lovely sheets, and it was quiet all night. River views from many windows.

Access to a microwave oven would have been appreciated.

It waa a convenient place for visiting Rathgar Lodge, nearby.

It was typical, old pub accommodation. Very basic, ‘no frills’. Photos suggested it would be quaint, but they were deceptive. Staff member was folding clean sheets on the old, carpeted floor. Disgusting.

Too hot in room 1. Noisy fan during the night & hard to sleep.

Stayed 3 nights and had dinner each night. All meals were great, especially the pizzasThe beds were very comfortable and the top verandah was a great place to have a drink and take in the great views

We were on the way to Brisbane. The hotel is not too far away from the highway and it was quick to rejoin the following day
