The Blue Water Motel

We love this little motel and cannot recommend it highly enough. Tucked away from the main part of town, you're just a short walk from the sand, and still within walking (or biking, thanks to the guest bikes available) distance of restaurants, pub, cafes and groceries. Plus the on site coffee van means your first flat white of the day is available just metres from your bed :)Being pet-friendly is the absolute best, as our dog can travel with us too.

One thing to note is that the pool area is no longer pet friendly, so use is limited if you are travelling with your dog.

Room was a little noisy being able to hear the room above us walk around, tv screen saver didn't turn off - had to turn off at the wall

We had a family booking so were allocated a two bedroom room. The living area was extremely spacious and we were able to have our dog stay as the motel is pet friendly.

Perhaps the car park could have been covered as there were some severe storms forecast at the time we were there and it was rather hot. Located a little distance from the main shopping area

Amazing bed, very comfortable. Good location for where I was headed, so very convenient. Being schoolies week, price was a reflection of that, other than value for money. Overall, a nice place to stay and a well renovated, funky atmosphere. The toiletries supplied were a lovely brand. Tea/coffee options were very good as well.

I felt the concrete floors were not that clean, as I felt my feet getting dirty just walking around in bare feet very quickly. My bin had not been emptied from the previous guest.

If I had to be picky the retainer wall needs to be fixed up as it’s falling down and the front garden cleaned up a bit to showcase the front of the motel again.

The room atmosphere was fresh, clean and cleverly styled which provided comfortable spaciousness.

I was looking for a pet friendly place to stay so my hubby who is FIFO could see his beloved Getman Shephard. The dog beach is 5 mins walk away so we could all walk down to the beach.

Only a minor problem, but we would rather be away from the pool as people walking past would disrupt my dog, and I didn't want her to bark and disturb people.

I only liked the door opening tips.I didn't stay - I took one look at the room and left.

Concrete floor, no couch - only a wooden bench and 2 bar stools facing the window. I was very disappointed.

Great location, the whole place has a fabulous retro vibe to it, which both my daughters and I loved. The kids loved their built-in beds and we also loved the coffee caravan out the front for more retro vibes and great coffee. The water dispensers in the kitchen downstairs are fantastic.

We needed a doormat outside our room as it had been raining.

Room was clean and fresh, comfy bed, quiet area and the staff member at the desk was so great. He was so helpful and lovely.

Absolutley love this place been 3 times. Loved everything about it and the best thing is they are pet friendly. Super friendly staff, cool cafe out the front, very accommodating, quiet neighborhood.

Super cute decor, clean, spacious summer beach house vibe . Walking distance to the beach. Everyone had a great time! Highly recommend for a group trip stay.

The only thing I would fault would be the damp smell that comes out when using the aircon

Such a fantastic property. Lovely, calm atmosphere, pool area was brilliant and the communal kitchen was a great addition.

Would love an enclosed shower (bathroom floor got super wet). A communal laundry would be might handy too.

I love the interior design and the graphic design of the facility. Having the fold out window created a peaceful and private mini oasis. We loved the lighter choices of colours, this added to the relaxing and peaceful vibe. Loved the keyless idea, I downloaded the Goki app - so easy to use (I do recommend).Bed was very comfortable and all round great experience. Will be coming back for sure!
