Pros +
- One of the most pleasant outlooks in all Australia ... we enjoyed all meals and staff are superb. The nature walks were heavenly and seeing 3 koalas made my trip!
- We had an absolutely beautiful stay at Spicers Hidden Vale to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday. The accommodation was stunning, the food was exceptional, and the hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. Every detail felt thoughtful and welcoming, such a peaceful, luxurious escape. We can’t wait to return.
- Everything you need for a relaxing, or active, or indulgent trip away is all there onsite. The staff were all so wonderful, meals and cocktails were tasty, and plenty of activities available, or you can take it easy, whatever you like to feel recharged.
Cons -
- Struggling to name a thing ... soundtrack in restaurant, bit repetitive (comment rather than complaint!). Everything superb.
- The animals. The stink of them. The mosquitoes and lack of room protection from them (no insect guard wall plug in's) and lack of cleaning. The lack of air-conditioning in the wedding area. The messy appearance of the tree area where the ceremony took place and how the venue rushed preparations last minute. Staff confusion about orders and seating. Lack of staff support prior to the wedding that cost over $30,000. They did not decorate the tables and my poor wife had to do them all instead on her own! Sticking plates on the wedding tables is not enough staff effort. The dangerous terrain. Lack of disability or elderly safety. Long struggles to walk. Not much shelter. The rough roads and the roadworks. Awful drive. Overpriced for accommodation and value.
- The quality of the food wasn’t as good as in past Ordered gluten free soup for lunch and it was cloud with no croutons Had to ask for piece of bread to have with soup Asked if I could have a sausage with my breakfast and told it would cost another $5 I have never been told that when staying here a number of times or at Spicers Clovelly I find that petty when accomodation is quite expensive .Don’t think I shall return

The cabin was beautiful, location stunning. Food was delicious, staff are all wonderful and helpful. The perfect long weekend getaway. We can't wait to come back.
The view. The classy look to the restaurant. But did not enjoy anything else.

Everything. It was one of the loveliest locations that I have ever stayed. Wonderful views, our heritage home was beautiful, with such an eye for detail! We had a bath on the deck. It was fun in the homage for cocktails and playing games. The pool side and spa had sweeping views. Kangaroos and chickens are roaming freely. A great place to take a short break. We loved it!
Very quiet relaxing location

Food and service were awesome.Being near the mountain bike park - brought our own bikes
Tea served at breakfast was teabags. Really expect freshly brewed loose leaf tea for the prices charged.
It is perfect an an hour from home. The location is amazing and the staff are lovely. Very relaxing time. I have to mention the restaurant. Dinner. Was exceptional. Thank you.
Nothing really.
The cabin we stayed in was lovely. The views were amazing. The gardens were gorgeous
Loved the food - an amazing restaurant! Loved the views and the walks. Loved the fireplaces. Loved the honey gift on departure.
There wasn't a gym, which would have been nice.
Breakfast, surrounding area, quiet
Peaceful, scenic, staff were incredibly attentive and kind.
Would be good if breakfast was until 10am.
Great attention to detail was had from the moment we did the pre-check in. Relevant questions asked and attention was paid to responses. Ti at Reception and Chloe at restaurant were standouts.
I struggle to find an answer so it means only one thing. Absolutely nothing we didn't like
Everything! Accommodation was lovely! Just need another privacy screen in order to use bathtub on the balcony.Food, drinks and staff amazing! All went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time!
Only glitch was the wifi in the room is not great, had to go to lounge in main lobby to do a little bit of work.
Beautiful restaurant for a long lunch. Food delicious. Lovely views. Heritage suite was spacious & comfortable. Lovely grounds to stroll around. Lovely spa.
Beautiful pool but sadly not heated. We like an adjustable shower head. Hard to get in/ out of the very deep spa bath to have a shower. TV too small.
Everything was amazing. The staff were exceptional from Sonia at reception to Josh m, Dani, and all the bar staff.
Beautiful property with an amazing onsite restaurant. The food is exceptional. All the restaurant staff were fantastic.
Reception staff were not very friendly and the lady on checkout didn’t even say hello or ask if we enjoyed our stay which was a bit disappointing. All the staff in the restaurant were faultless.

Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of local produce
We loved our stay and could not say we did not like anything about the establishment, services or staff. On a personal note, the mattress in our room was a little too soft or sunken for my personal preferred comfort.
