    Pros +

    • The room was very spacious and well appointed and the view was lovely and quiet. All amenities were obviously top quality such as soaps etc considering the cost. It was a beautiful one night stay.
    • The cottage we stay in was very clean with a nice view. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed was great. There was a nice bath.
    • We had a fantastic time staying in the "Banjo Paterson" cabin at Bendooley Estate - private, spacious and luxurious. Convenient access using a code for the cabin door. Great views across a lake and rolling hills. The whole facility is outstanding with manicured gardens and beautiful big old trees. Our buffet breakfast in the Vine Room was excellent with an open fire and views across the vineyard.

    Cons -

    • One of the cups I had to clean as it was dirty. There was also no fan in the bathroom area - unless it wasnt working. The breakfast venue was not well signposted and hard to find. I think the breakfast time could have been more than an hour i.e. 7.30 to 9.30. Felt a bit rushed for such a nice setting.
    • It's hard to get to the stables from the cottages, we had to walk on the road.
    • Nothing really - we thought about the many other nice places we have stayed in around Australia / overseas and decided that Bendooley Estate would just about top the list.

We stayed in one of the cottages while attending a wedding at the Book Barn and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a huge bathroom and a wonderful big bath. The view of the wetlands outside our window was beautiful, and breakfast on both mornings was excellent — a perfect way to start the day.

It was very expensive for what was essentially a large studio-style room, but overall it was a memorable and relaxing stay in a stunning setting.

The Book Barn Cottage was the perfect spot for a girls' weekend away!Super cosy and comfortable, with an amazing location — we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We especially loved having dinner at Leo’s by Night — the food was fantastic — and breakfast there was just as great. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Accommodation is nice, comfortable and well designed

We had to call to get the access codeThe room was cold and the floor in the bathroom wasn't heated...The breakfast staff needs training to clean the tables and smile more

Lovely estate with great restaurant. Rooms are spacious and it's very private, no direct neighbours. Super clean and well equipped. We especially loved the floor heating in the bathroom!

Accommodation was nice and clean and well equipped the living area was spacious and comfortable

The pillows were not comfortable and the mattress was a bit hardWe had to call and ask how to get to the cottage We asked for gluten free options for breakfast but the staff there wasn't notified, nothing was prepared The breakfast staff was setting up empty tables rather than servicing sitting guests and removing used plates and utensils

Loved the wine tasting with top quality wine. Staff member so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Moved to the restaurant for lunch for an incredible meal. We stayed in a free standing chalet/cabin everything provided totally comfortable. Excellent comfortable bed all extras provided in the bathroom.

    All good

Spotless, large and comfortable. Great attention to detail. Beautiful room and view over the fields. The architecture really fits within the Southern Highlands style.

Bendooley was PERFECT! We stayed at Bendooley Estate for our first ever family getaway with our 4 week old baby and we highly recommend it. The cottage was absolutely stunning and very clean. It exceeded our expectations. The communication prior to our stay was fabulous and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We definitely recommend having lunch at the Book Barn for delicious warm food and settle in for wine tasting and a cheese platter after. The Estate is so picturesque and we can’t thank Bendooley enough for such an accomodating stay. We will be back!!
