Clean place, friendly staff and good food. It was noisy and the room looked a bit like a bunker, they could decorate it or something.

The bar downstairs was great with roaring fire and good food. The shared bathroom was clean.

No window and we were told not to go out onto the balcony because a car had crashed into the hotel recently and the balconies were unstable. The room was cold (no heater) and there was no remote for the television so we were told there was no way the tv could be switched on despite being advertised as available.

This place is very well equipped for a country pub. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Meals were excellent. Service was prompt. Lovely open fireplaces. All staff - hotel, bar, kitchen, were extremely helpful and friendly

Room 12 should not be rented out . It has no outside windows and 2 doors - very noisy with light coming in the window in one door (no curtains)

The food and staff amazing , couldn't hear people in pub when we were in rooms. Whiskey guy told us about Portland twilight market, we went was good.

The room I had room 17 terrible. Bright light sign right outside where our head of bed was all night no sleep. Beds like rocks, noise from people returning to rooms after being at pub, creeky floors old building. No AC or fans in rooms. Dinner menu was expensive. P

Great location for easy access to Capertee Valley. Comfortable room and great breakfast bar downstairs.

Great accommodation and the staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access for coming back late at night. If you are looking for simple accommodation for the night this is the place for you.

Lovely country motel with great food and very friendly staff

We visited with a group and found the Royal clean and tidy, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The staffs were really friendly, bathroom was so clean and spotless! (Love a really clean bathroom). Room was good and clean, with a nice pub and drinks. Old building but really good property inside. Had continental breakfast which I didnt expected it!

Location was excellent for where I wanted to be next day. Evening meal good - out early so didn't try breakfast, which looked basic. Staff friendly and helpful.

Room an odd shape and not enough power sockets/in wrong places but these are minor points.

Right from check in the staff were friendly & welcoming. Food is excellent & well worth the visit. All bathrooms were very clean.

The bed was rock hard, it was like sleeping on cement, if you can't relpace the mattress please please get decent mattress toppers. The sheets were great quality that meant nothing when unable to get comfortable. Tv's in rooms didn't work or didn't have remotes.
