Golden Country Motel and Caravan Park

Convenient. Room looked clean. Operators are very lovely and helpful

Rooms are very dated and shower desperately needs to be updated. Hot water took forever to heat up. Corners of shower look mouldy with parts of them peeling.Smell when you walk in the room is evident of guests smoking in the room so smells very stale. This is not the operators fault this is clearly guests doing the wrong thing.

When we arrived, there was an awful smell! After consultation with the owners on the next day, they put an air purifier in! It smelt like someone cooked something bad! The air purifier helped! ?

Check in with Dirk was a breeze. Quick and hassle free. Our second time staying at Golden Country Motel and Caravan Park, wouldn't hesitate t stay again. Clean, comfy and close to town centre. Golf course across the road.

Overall very good accommodation. not much to not like.

The surroundings were not pleasant at all. It’s actually a quite depressing place. No nice gardens or pool or playgrounds for children. Just rooms and cabins crammed on a block. Good place to stay overnight for a quick stopover. Could do with some updates also. It’s stuck in a bygone era

The staff were very helpful and the room was really clean also access to the golf course across the road was very handy

Parking was a little tight but right in front of the room which was great

Room was big and everything was clean.

The heating did not work. By the looks of the reviews the heating hasn't worked in lots of the rooms for some time now. If not for the electric blanket we would of froze. It was way too cold for me to shower.

The shower was great. Coffee was good.

The heater barely worked.

All people concerned with running this motel/caravan park were very helpful and nice to chat with, I have noticed quite a few changes to the place over the years since I was last there which is enhancing the place,

Maybe not having a clock radio on a bedside table - I know most people have mobile phones nowadays which I do also, but they just don't wake me up at all, other than that, nothing

Proprietors were welcoming and lovely. They also have the most adorable dog who loves to get to know you but LOVES a back rub more ? .... thank you for a lovely stay.

I love the mattress, not soft as usual I met in hotel. Very good for my back, refresh after long day seating in office and driving.

Bed was too high for me fell out 3 times ??? Not there fault that Im only 150cm

Convenience and location. Very helpful reception.

I kept hitting my head on the plank holding the reading lights above the bed. Not easy to read in bed as ceiling lights very bright ( but fine if not reading) and bedside lights mounted too low.

Pool and jumping pillow were so great for the kids, beds were extremely comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows could have been a bit lower in profile

The pillows were to high.

So close to main street, room was extremally clean, park itself was so quiet, if you wanted meals just walk 5 mins across the street to the golf club.

What breakfast?

No bed for a 3rd adult we booked for 3 6 small containers of milk same for coffee and sugar for 3 adults for 3 days 2 nights no staff to be found no fresh towels and a 15 dollar charge for blankets for the 3 Rd person to sleep on the couch
