    Pros +

    • Although it was a Saturday, we were offered a dinner reservation on an otherwise 'fully booked' evening. The only time available did not suit, however the staff recommended an establishment a short distance away offering a courtesy bus both there & back.
    • The location was very easy to find. The continenal breakfast was a nice start to the day. The room was comfortable and the shower was very clean and had good water pressure.
    • The location was convenient, and the hotel's decor was tasteful and well appointed.

    Cons -

    • Everything, including the elevator, was most appreciated. On site parking, beer garden and the friendliness of the staff far exceeded (canceled out) any minor disappointment that may have been experienced, ie. distance between the elevator and my room.
    • Nothing that I can think of.
    • We paid $210 with the expectation that an excellent breakfast was included. It isn't. The ingredients for a continental breakfast were provided but there was no table and only 1 chair in the room. The promised onsite restaurant and wine bar were both closed. This stay was to be a treat to ourselves but has left a very sour taste.

Comfortable bed, beautifully decorated, the bathroom in particular was fantastic.

My room was right at the back and there was some sort of machinery running 24/7 outside.

can hear a bit noise from next door

The hotel was lovely - comfortable, clean, welcoming ?

Was met by staff who welcomed us and showed us to our room.Hotel protocol explained verbally which was lovely rather than paperwork to read through. To often when staying at places you don’t get to meet the owner or staff it felt lovely chatting to staff!

    Location in the town.

We were in Room 8 which is located at the rear of the hotel. At night the noise and vibrations from the giant air conditioning room of the adjoining bottle shop made it noisy plus there was an ongoing issue with odour from the drain in the bathroom. The room is small with just one chair so it wasn't a good option to take breakfast in the room. Better to get coffee at the nearby Daily Dose Cafe

Everything was excellent The restaurant was excellent and I never order parmies!Really Everything was excellent! If you like old buildings the restoration alone is worth staying their to see !We travel alot and the bull is number 1 out of hundreds of places we have stayed. I know my review reads like a paid presentation but it isn't!

This was a wonder - absolutely beautiful step back in time but with all the modern facilities. Plenty of space to spread out in. Gorgeous period decor.

I absolutely hate overhead showers. Seems like these are chosen by males who wash their hair every day.The bed was a bit tooo soft - has a prominent nest in it, which wasn't to my liking.

    Clean and fresh renovation

Unfortunately our room was at some corner facing a shop downstairs that had ongoing fridge like noise And other guests noises were particularly loud

Great place to stay for the night whilst in country Vic for a very reasonable price. Staff were excellent. Room was spotless and had a lovely spa bath. Continental breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, dinner was great in the downstairs area.

    Nothing!

Very cool old building that has been renovated, had dinner at the restaurant and the food was good.

Beautifully appointed hotel. Both the rooms and the public areas were great. We were in an internal room above the staircase which was quite noisy as were some guests who didn’t respect that people were trying to sleep. The meals we had in the restaurant were both fabulous.

Great location. Terrific ambiance and wonderful owners.

Everything was good, from customer service, facilities to food, will definitely be back.

Only thing I could nitpick would be that there wasn't a suitable place to plug the toaster in, I used the one in the bathroom.

A beautifully restored building, huge wonderful room with balconies. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.

Heritage building central location. Understated tasteful decor. Cafe attached. Excellent lunch. Lovely room with small balcony. Super clean. Super comfortable bed and linens. Quiet night. Wifi good. Reception welcoming Easy 10 min walk to train. Impressive heritage building with visitor centre and an occasional train. Stayed one night. Would definitely stay again. Very highly recommend

Well restored hotel. Comfortable bed. Good wifi and a/c.

Adequate but basic breakfast served in the room.

Well cared for hotel in Maryborough that took pride in the accommodation for their guests. Refurbished heritage style that’s very lovely. Great location in the town centre main street, in walking distance to local shops, eateries, supermarket, art gallery etc. The hotel room was impressively clean, and 5 star hotel quality bath towels were provided. The king bed was soft, cosy and comfortable with smooth, clean, crisp bed linen together with large plump pillows. My room window opened to the interior of the hotel, and not the balcony, so I had a great quiet overnight sleep. I loved my overnight stay in this hotel. The rooms are all on the upper level, however there is an elevator available.

Free breakfast that comes with the booking is a continental breakfast. They were a bit short staffed during our stay. Neither of those bothered us.
