The First Collection Dubai Marina is an upscale hotel with breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and Dubai Marina. Guests staying at this hotel are eligible to access Soluna Restaurants and Beach Club on The Palm at an additional cost including regular transportation. The property offers free shuttle service to the malls and DMCC metro station. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. All 493 air-conditioned rooms feature a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a mini bar, a desk, a safety deposit box and tea & coffee making facilities. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower or a bathtub and offer free toiletries. The property provides a range of food and beverages, for example The Blacksmith serving smoked meats, Alloro Ristorante Italian restaurant which also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hello Café is a lobby lounge and coffee house and there’s Chillz pool bar, serving light bites and refreshing beverages to the pool. 24-hour room service is also available. Pros +
- Not a fault of the hotel, but the location at the end of the Dubai Marina was inconvenient for me as I prefer staying closer to the Dubai Marina Mall. I have difficulty walking long distances,so location was not ideal.
- Hotel looked nice. Mostly clean and had good service
- The room was clean and location was ok.
Cons -
- I upgraded to a view room and yet the desk clerk would not include breakfast. We (2 persons) were staying for just 1 night. I spoke with a a supervisor who approved our complimentary breakfast. He was very accommodating & gracious.
- The location was terrible. Itââ¬â¢s a 20min walk to the beach, metro, and mall. No real food options nearby. Traffic is the worst! Leaving or returning to the hotel between 4pm and midnight is torture. Add 1hr to your trip or just walk.
- Staff weren't friendly They didn't go out of their way to help with getting an early check-ins. Tv in the room didn't work in the lounge room.
