    Pros +

    • the room and amenities are lovely. the sliding glass doors open onto a natural garden with seating. a flock of cockatoos were there during morning coffee. Tasmania feeling.
    • It was close to family thats why I chose it
    • Very quite , no traffic, love the bush setting

    Cons -

    • Needed electric blankets and Needed to be able to leave heater on for how cold it was . Other than that it was perfect
    • Loved everything about the property.
    • The shower was over a spa bath (which had been disconnected) which was a little hard to climb in and out of. The water pressure was so good it sprayed all over the bathroom floor when showering.

The property is in the most peaceful place anywhere. The hosts are excellent, the chalet is spacious, comfortable and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there on our next travels. My wife and I had the best nights sleep during our stay. It is so convenient for catching the Bruny Island ferry, with great cafes in close proximity.

    Loved everything about the property.

Unfortunately we both tested positive for Influenza A the day we arrived which put a downer on our trip. The good part was that the accommodation was clean and comfortable and the managers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to extend our stay by 4 days giving us enough time to get over the worst. The chalet is a quick 5 minute drive to the Bruny Island ferry and a short drive into Snug will provide shopping and eateries. A simply fabulous place to stay.

The shower was over a spa bath (which had been disconnected) which was a little hard to climb in and out of. The water pressure was so good it sprayed all over the bathroom floor when showering.

Lots of birds, barbecue was clean and easy to use and cooking facilities were very good. The ability to walk up the hill and to a nearby cove in the evening for a view and to get to know the wallabies. Turbos were entertaining. The nearby shop at the entrance to Manuka rd iwsvery handy for fresh produce. Tranquil setting.

Road signage coming from Hobart was not clear at ground level and was partially covered by vegetation..

Good location, nice view from the room , can see wildlife. Clean linen. Friendly greeting on arrive.

There was no stove in the kitchen, replace by electrical fry pan . Unpleasantly shoked to find uncleaned brown spots inside of the white tea cups and some plates So, we had to clean these for our using.. Breakfast has to pay extra 10 dollars a day for each person. The only include one slice of bread, one egg, cereal and small plastic pack of jam, penat butter , canola and Vegemite. In others accomadation these normally includes without additional pay

Quiet location with bush garden within a couple of minutes drive to local hotel and other eateries. Close to Bruny Island Ferry. Only 4 private rooms each with outdoor deck and BBQ looking into bush garden. A defined kitchen area. Morning and evening we had visits from bush fowl and pademelons. Little touches like fresh flowers, night light in bathroom, room freshener had been thought of. Wines and snacks were on hand at reasonable prices.

Quiet, peaceful location, close to Bruny Island ferry terminal. Loved the wildlife, the turbo chooks, and the pademelons.

The location was perfect for touring around the southern edge of Tassie. The local store had the most things that we needed for self catering, more choice was available at the IGA in Snug

We were touring on motorbikes and the car park was quite gravelly, and there was a big pothole at the top of the drive which could be avoided once you knew it was there.

The property and the rooms were quiet and looked out on to bush where we saw paddy melons and native birds.

The occupants of the next door room had to walk past our our room for access to theirs.

The peaceful, natural setting and generous space.

The water pump was a bit loud.

Last minute weekend getaway. Host was communicative, loved the handmade chocolates.

    10KatalinPosted on: 10-26-2024

It is well situated, close to Kettering Harbor and Ferry. The welcome home made chocolate by Annie was awesome. Getting up in the morning with wallabies on the porch was priceless.

Photo on advertising shows Oyster Cove. We had no water views like I was expecting. Dont get me wrong it was a lovely stay
