Pros +
- Beautiful setting
- It's the only one in this place
- By the side of Lake Pedder was magical, whatever you think of the enlarged lake's virtues. The dinner provided was excellently cooked, and the menu was imaginative. The swimming pool nearby was a joy after a hot day with a lot of driving.
Cons -
- Rooms lacking in charm, but quiet and clean
- The restaurant closed quite early, earlier than in the information available to us on line prior to the trip, so we were unable to eat there as we were Kayaking on Lake Pedder on an organised experience and therefore did not have the ability to come in at the only time offered to us to eat, 7:00pm. Lucky we had our own snacks or we would not have had any food that night. We had hoped maybe we could have ordered food in advance, but this was not an option. As there is no where else to buy food, travellers should make plans before they stay here.

Food at restaurant was very good and reasonably pricedLoved the view from restaurant The pool was heated and clean … great
I couldn’t fault it
Location was absolutely spectacular with Awesome meals. Comfortable bed, warm room. Sitting by the fire in the restaurant/Bar area with a book and drink from the bar was relaxing. We will definitely be back some day.
Location is amazing, and the bathroom was the best I have seen in a hotel.
Room was a bit small, but we were only there to sleep, and the bed was very comfortable so no big deal
Accommodation itself relatively basic but comfy enough and everything you need. Dining area and setting gorgeous. Wilderness all around is always a huge bonus.
Expected slightly more updated accommodation and the pool/rec area was a longish walk and hard to find as no signs on the side streets to assist. But overall all OK
Views from dining room amazingFood was good
Building works nearby rather spoilt the tranquility
Beautiful location at Pedder Lake, Gordon Lake and Dam around the corner. Simple accomodation, but with an excellent restaurant and bar. Stunning views! Gym available.
Dinner was fantasticView was fantasticPool was fantastic
Television we couldn't work it out
A stunning location, such a beautiful drive to get there and only a couple of hours from Hobart. Everyone was very kind and we had an extremely relaxing stay. Some beautiful walks nearby.
Great location and food with lots of gf options
Rooms outdated and could hear everything from other rooms
View from dining room. Convenient location.
No Saturday night music. Website implies that they have music.
The lovely views when dining at the restaurant. Log fire burning. Drink at the bar. Place to read and unwind.
Basic cabin with thin walls so any noises are heard: heavy motorbikes( many many!!) and trucks from renovation works which we were informed about. Dusty surroundings. Tradies staying overnight sleep in the same lodgings. Great place but better wait till renovations are finished.
The friendly staff, magnificent lake views, great chef as the dinner was excellent & lovely dining room/bar/lounge area.
Great location with a lovely bar and restaurant. The swimming pool is a great addition.
Amazing views, great staff and delicious food! Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Room with a lake view was gorgeous but came with noise from lounge/bar.
On an very remote but beautiful location is Pedder Wilderness Lodge right on Lake Pedder. Location is perfect, staff very friendly and customer oriented. Restaurant is great with good quality of food, both dinner and breakfast.Rooms are basic but clean and ok. But good price for what you get.
As mentioned, rather basic but this is something you can expect when you read all the info.
A very peaceful place. Was cool in February. They have a recreation place, indoor swimming pool and restaurant. Meals are slightly expensive. Lots of walking trails and not far from the Gordon Dam can walk across the wall of dam. They are building more accommodation. There are houses you can stay in. Meals are delicious
