Weldborough Hotel

It was a good location for us after our day of hiking. The owner was very friendly. The tavern had surprisingly good food. It had a completely updated shower.

It was very isolated, there really is no town at all. Kind of weird set up-we had the only little cabin literally in a field among campers. There were other people that stayed in the main building. Very basic, but adequate accommodations.

Loved that everything was accessible, the owners and locals were super friendly and lovely, everything here was clean and visibly maintained. It was simplicity done to a high standard ?

The property was slightly old and dated. The rooms were small and the window let in a draft, the bathroom was shared. The location isn’t the best

Authentic historical accomadation with amazing atmosphere. Warm fires , great food and incredible hospitality . I will call again.

Great meals, warm room And location to the gem fields .

Staff were absolutely awesome! Made me feel like part of the family. Food was exceptional. Best schnitzel I’ve ever had (made in house). Bed was super comfy. Very clean and the warm fire just topped it all off. I’ll be back soon.

Breakfast was good. Meals were great, best parmi I have had for years and had a great nights sleep. Staff were great.

A little pricey for the size of rooms

The manager was polite, very helpful and a most friendly and interesting person. The setting for this hotel was beautiful with wonderful nature walks close at hand

Great place to stay. Nice food, friendly, helpful staff. Room was good, shower lovely and hot, nice fire in the pub. Great location for motorbiking too

Awkward access to power outlet in room.

Bed was very comfortable. Meal in pub was also good.

Breakfast was poor. Ran out of milk. No easy supply of water for kettle. One of the 2 bathrooms ran out of toilet paper. Room was very small.No bedside reading lamps

Had a lovely stay at this historical hotel. John was very obliging and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. John told us about the amazing history of the pub and the connection to the Chinese tin miners.Great midway point to St Helens and Derby.The bed was comfortable and the meals delicious.

Location was quite and peaceful. The person who are working in this hotel are very helpful and nice. The food was delicious

Steak was a bit pricey.

Old pub style accommodation which suited our needs. The lady running the place was lovely and they put the fire on for us far north Queenslanders because the weather was a little chilly for us. The meals were really good too.

The building was cold I guess only because it was old, but we are far north Queenslanders not used to cold weather.

Beautiful old hotel in great location with very friendly staff and excellent dinner and drinks. The espresso coffee at breakfast was great.

I would have liked a bit more variety for breakfast, eg wholemeal bread for toast or the option of a cooked breakfast.

The owner was very hospitable and helpful. He went out of his way to give advise and made fresh coffee etc. Bed was comfortable.

Some mould in the bedroom ceiling, the hotel is quite old which does give it charm though.
