- This is a beautiful property with gorgeous gardens and stunning views. The staff went above and beyond to be kind and attentive. We ate all three dinners here and all were very good and served promptly. The pool was lovely and the atmosphere delightful. Book a tower suite for the views!
- The location was stunning with great mountain views (except one day, when it was cloudy). The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The trek with a local guide was really interesting and good value for money. The hotel was well designed with traditional Moroccan character features. Clean and well maintained with beautiful gardens and pool. All meals were really good.
- So beautiful here. Immense peace. Food excellent. Staff delightful. Walking in the foothills with guide from the hotel very enjoyable.
Cons -
- The bed was a bit hard and the pillows and covers somewhat threadbear (they need an update). Cleaning staff needs some direction since each day they removed my dirty towels but did not replace them so by the last day I only had one hand towel! They also did not replace the coffee in my room each day and I ran out the first day.
- Pool not heated so a little chilly in March when we stayed.
- Some simple DIY in the rooms ( tightening of screws and replacing a lightbulb ).

The grounds couldn't be more beautiful. Incredibly peaceful and quiet, amazing views of the mountains. I literally couldn't stop taking photos. Seriously! The architecture was lovely, the landscaping wonderful, walking the grounds you feel like you are wandering the grand gardens of a restored Kasbah,( even though it is a new build.) The pool area is beautiful! A quiet, lovely retreat. It was all gorgeous but strangely deserted, it felt a little like an older person's retreat.( We are in our mid 50's, and were fo sure the youngest people there.) In fact I know my parents, my mother in law and her friends ( all in their 80's would love it!) But that said, It could use a little "life". It feels like it just needs a few tweaks here and there to make it an absolutely stunning destination, a wedding venue, a perfect get away from the craziness of Marrakech. First though, the food... please fix the food! Worst food we had in the country. The decor of the rooms being a little dated and the food being terrible are probably the only reason this place isn't bustling with activity. Seriously the grounds couldn't be more gorgeous. Training your staff to be more welcoming and have them offer to show you the grounds and explain dining options etc, would go a very long way...the hospitality we felt in all of the other places we stayed in Morocco nailed it but not here. Which is sad because it is so beautiful. As a couple, an architect and a designer it was hard to look at it all without wanting to just "fix" a few things to make it truly amazing.
The food was terrible. I hate to say anything negative but it is really something they need to change. The staff while vaguely accommodating didn't do a great job of welcoming us, we arrived at 3pm for check in starving and tired, were left at a table with tea for about 30 minutes with no idea of what was happening before we went searching for someone to ask if there was any way we could order some lunch. We were put in a distant tower room, which while very pretty felt like as empty as the place was they could've upgraded us to a room with a view or a patio... just little things like that. The pillows felt like slabs of granite. please new pillows! The rooms while pretty, are begging for a fresh makeover, just new blankets, moroccan rugs, pillows, art... Marrakech is filled with the most gorgeous textiles and art, it felt like a miss. All close but not quite. And the dining room felt like a cafeteria, very uncomfortable...needs music, really needs help. Still I hate to say anything because the actual buildings and grounds are so gorgeous, we also met the owner who was very nice, but this place could be over the top with just a little help.
The food was to die for, and we loved our 3 hour guided hike with Abdul through the National Park.
The dining room needed a bit more charm-say, white linens, flowers, music— it was a bit monastic. But the views from the windows were fantastic!
Great food, very friendly and helpful staff.
No tea or coffee in the room.
Excellent location beautiful scenery. The staff were really friendly. The two guides we had for the two hiking trips were excellentThe gardens were beautiful with a nice swimming pool .Delicious food even if choice was a bit limited, it was all super fresh and well made. Extra bonus - some nice wines !
Absolutely nothing!
Fantastic, helpful staff who went the extra mile to look after guests. Lovely well lit and spacious rooms with comfy beds. Beautiful grounds with panoramic views of the mountains and gardens .Delicious evening meal with a range of interesting food.
Breakfast was poor with very limited choice . There was only one type of cereal and no cut up fresh fruit. It was very disappointing. In the bathroom the toilet roll holder didn't work well and the hand towel holder was broken.
Excellent staff- very quiet and calming experience.
Wi-Fi requires improvement
We had a wonderful stay at Kasbah Angour! It was very quiet and we practically had the place to ourselves, the space and scenery were stunning and it was a welcome break from the madness of Marrakech. The staff were fantastic and so helpful, the food was delicious and our room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was a highlight - the perfect temperature for the hot weather and with plenty of cold drinks on offer too. Lots of birds and wildlife to enjoy - we even saw a Chameleon in one of the Olive trees in the garden!
Nothing!
Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable beds. Amazing staff. Great views and walks from the Kasbah. Lovely pool, although cold in March. Very good food. Table tennis a real bonus.
Nothing really. Wi-Fi coverage limited but didn’t bother us really.
A peaceful retreat in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains with amazing views yet only 35minutes from Marrakech. The hotel is beautifully designed and furnished and our room was extremely comfortable plus had its own terrace. All the staff were absolutely amazing - so friendly and welcoming. We would most definitely return again!
The pool temperature was extremely cold - only the very brave/hardy ventured in during our visit?
Kasbah Angour is a lovely hotel set in beautifully landscaped grounds, with a wonderful pool and gorgeous views of the mountains in the distance. And the staff are exceptionally friendly.

Location,pool nice room.
The things we liked about Kasbah Angour were the pristine gardens, the hikes offered to guests, and the easy access from the Marrakech city center.
We left feeling very disappointed, and felt that we paid far too much money for this hotel. The wifi did not work in many parts of the property, including our room. The bathroom is in need of an update and the bed was not comfortable. The food was incredibly expensive, which was especially frustrating given that portion sizes were quite small. Unfortunately, we left feeling hungry each night after dinner. The staff members were kind but are definitely in need of more training.
We (2 adults, 2 children) spent 2 nights at Kasbah Angour in Superior Doubles at the back end of 10 days in Morocco staying at various Riads ranging from 3 Star to 4 Star. This review tries to be as balanced as possible. We liked the fact that the property is 45 minutes from the airport, mid way to the Atlas mountains. 45 minute to 1 hour's drive and you reach the starting point of various walks. The property has a lovely garden with English roses, and a decent sized pool. We opted to book two doubles and they are spacious, quiet, clean, and well appointed with a little patio and south facing. It was also good to have Air Conditioning.Paul, the English owner, welcomed us which was a nice touch.
In summary, the service could be significantly improved. The all male - at least we saw no women - staff were rather run off their feet trying their best. But their best is rather mediocre - often not very well dressed, often not deferring to guests to le them pass first, not offering to help with bags (and so on).we felt the food was mediocre - especially for Morocco. The breakfast with tea served out of thermos flasks was really not ideal; the buffet was limited to cereal with yoghurt and a bowl of fruit. Yes, there were eggs you could order, but with not much taste. Room service tea was served in a mug. Dinner (chosen at 3pm(!) from a clipboard!) was set menu of 3 courses for circa 30 Euros a head; that makes it both a captive audience and expensive. The Tagines were good, but not great. We had to return one glass of wine as it was really dreadful. The air conditioning unit had a very bright blue light with dancing LEDs that you could not black out at night; just meant we had to switch it all off.The wifi was exceptionally poor; the hotel wifi works off Mobile 4G from INWI, which by default is a shared resource. That means in the late afternoon and evening when the town is all browsing the internet, it slows to zero. That is the same incidentally even if you have your own 4G Sim card. It's not necessarily the owner's fault, but with teenage kids, this meant quite some frustration. The location is great from a logistics stand point, but there is no (reasonable) possibility to leave the property to walk to the town - it's on a steep hill. And so yes, we come to value for money to which I would say, no, it's not value for money by quite some margin. If I were to suggest some changes, it would be: add a femine touch - add some tea lights to the tables, perhaps a cut flower; upskill the staff; because the property itself is beautiful. Lots of potential, but possibly a formula that is getting a bit tired?
The setting and the gardens around the hotel were very picturesque. The food was very good.
The excursions from the hotel were expensive and haphazard compared to those on offer in Marrakech.
Breakfast just ok. Setting & tranquillity amazing. Beautiful landscaped gardens. Interesting local area & guide.
Very expensive £214+ just for B & B. Level of comfort in the room didn’t reflect this. Felt more like an up market hostel than 4 star hotel. Atmosphere austere.
location & style unrivalled in area. The views & gardens are superb. very friendly & helpful staff. liked being able to go on walks from hotel by ourselves & feel perfectly safe.
would have liked bathrobes for use during stay as it was a little chilly in evening & mornings after a shower.
A peaceful retreat in the foothills with wonderful staff. Ideal for relaxing and recharging. A great base to explore further into the High Atlas Mountains but still an easy drive from Marrakech airport.
