Pros +
- Great location by the beach and restaurants.
- Location, friendly staff, big spacious rooms. Small but well equipped kitchenette, definitely a plus.
- Good sized rooms. Staff quickly fixed the issue of twin beds into double. Calera is a nice spot (about 1-2km from other part of Valle Gran Rey)
Cons -
- Old fashioned data set up. No USB ports on plugs. No Netflix on the TV and the TV is only programmed to German with no choice to change. We were in the minority being English.
- Breakfast and dinner options limited for a 4* hotel, however the quality of the meals was good. Also be careful what type of rooms you book. Mine had zero decent view, possibly because booked via Booking… you need a room with a front seat view to really make a difference.
- We were required to find dinner outside of the hotel because reservations for dinner were not possible. Also, finding the entry road to the hotel was nearly impossible and confusing. Even our gps did not know what to do.

• Patronising front desk staff• Pool towels too small• Most rooms look out over apartments along side of building - so not sea view• Parking is available, just up the no entry street and no clear signage which makes arrival challenging• No control over a/c - you have to ask reception to change it (temp, air dryness and noise)• No kettle or tea and coffee in room. Drip coffee maker only• “It’s a bit like a hospital room”• Breakfast - middling. Quality of ingredients poor. Inc coffee• “Eco” products in bathroom, but water left in room is Fonteide, in a plastic bottle (reusable glass bottles are available)
Breakfast was amazing, too many options, high quality food, great serviceThe pool, though smaller than I'd wish, was lovely, cooling after an hour of sunbathing, heating up through the day Waste bins were clearly labelled but I had no idea what to do with metal containers, there wasn't a bin for them - but the daily cleaning/housemaid service removed any from my room, so there was no problem
Rooms are a good size with comfortable beds, good bathroom and rudimentary kitchen facilities.Breakfast excellent, plenty of choice and good quality/
Kitchenette doesn't have a kettle and fridge lacks freezer compartment(ice).Rooms 201-209 are on rear side of the building so lack any sunshine or view. The prevailing wind also blows in this direction so sitting on the balcony is not comfortable. Pool area on top of building is ok though location means that it will be breezy and , sometimes, too windy to sit out.
this was a clean and comfortable hotel. Food was fresh and well prepared. nice to have tea-making facilities in the room. Pool was very clean and really nice area around pool. staff were polite. good secure parking.
it was a little beige - both in colour and character. would have liked some pictures on the walls or brighter colours. staff polite but not chatty, food good but a bit dull. we were told pool was heated but it wasn’t- I still swam and enjoyed it but too cold for many. suggest ask for a room on upper floors - a bit dark and overlooked on first floor.
Excellent swimming pool, surrounded by a great landscape.Subterranean car park, very useful because otherwise finding a parking place in the nearby could be challenging.Very quiet environment.Excellent position.Kind personnel.
Nothing that I disliked in particular, just the price I would say. It is a good hotel with a number of points of strengths, but still seems a bit too expensive compared to the structure. It looks like it needs some renovation, the 4 stars are a bit stretched as a classification in my opinion. But still I can recommend, you will have a good stay there, just you could find cheaper alternatives in La Gomera.
Excellent breakfast, spacious and comfortable room, great position, lovely pool and lovely staff.
Meal taste
Dining options, could be more variety for both dinner and breakfast Little design makes the interior more warm
Swimming pool ,when open
Being charged for copies required. Some of reception staff
The hotel is at a great location. There are a lot of bars and restaurants that can be reached by foot. Also a supermarket is very close. Playa del Ingles a beautiful natural beach with black sand is only a 10 minute walk away. The rooms are very big. We have been positively surprised that their was a little kitchen in the room.We also need to point out that the and staff at the hotel was very friendly.
The room had two separate beds. We would have preferred a double bed instead.
Bad
The staff was super rude and failed to communicate that hotel visits were not allowed. Even when I walked in with my guest the reception said hello but didn't advise this was not possible and charged me the next day the additional supplement for my guest even if it was only for a few hours.
Good varied selection.
