Hotel Podgorica

Pros +

• The hotel is very clean and is located in the heart of Podgorica - it is walking distance from major landmarks like Gorica Hill, Millenium Bridge and Stara Varos. The view from the hotel's restaurant is also breathtaking - it looks over Skaline Fort and the Marac river, making it the perfect spot for breakfast. The breakfast is also really good - there isa good variety of sweet and savory options. I really loved the sweet Montenegrin pastries they had. The breakfast has limited options for vegetarians (but veggie food is not common in Montenegro so I assume this is an issue they would have at every hotel). I also found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The receptionists gave us directions to the bus station and were quick to fulfill our requests for extra shampoo / pillows / etc. Overall a great experience and I would 100% recommend it to anyone coming to stay in Podgorica.

Cons -

• The only complaint I had with the hotel was that it is located right across from a night bar that plays music quite loudly until 2am - 3am. I wanted to sleep with the window open, but could not because of the music. It is fine once you close the window, but if you are a light sleeper, this may still bother you. We were also staying at the ground floor rooms facing the night bar, I assume the noise is much less if you are staying on a higher floor or a room facing the opposite direction. When I complained about the noise at night, the reception was very understanding but let us know that they could not do anything about it.
