The staff was very responsive, and if you like being right in the thick of things, the location is great. It also has good water pressure, which is a big deal in the parts of Mexico we visited.
Far surpassed its 1-star rating! HUGE spotless room, hot shower, fridge, asked for a quiet location & got one at back of hotel, good location with easy access to great food/ beach/ svcs/ etc. Pleasant staff.

Cons -

Within an hour of arriving, there were itty bitty spiders crawling all over our snacks. We put the things they hadn't discovered yet into the fridge, but it was pretty gross.
No one to help carry bag up stairs but not a big deal.
Everything else..got ripped off on the price once here, shower head was so nasty, felt like accupuncture. Hard bed, hard sheets, LOUDEST HOTEL IN ISLA MUJERES... NEVER STAY HERE EVER AGAIN

Comfortable, clean, spacious, attractive room with a beautiful updated bathroom and large balcony. Loved the kitchenette. Lovely staff!

As many reviews say, it's a loud and busy area. Our room faced away from the street but it was still quite audible. I was really sad to not have a screen on the patio doors so we couldn't leave them open at night (we tried but got eaten by mosquitoes).
