- Hostal Renacimiento gets a high score for its location as it is within easy walking distance of the bus station and the centre of town. My room was adequate, with a comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. The staff are pleasant. though not particularly knowledgeable. Nevertheless it is a good value base to have in Comitan.

- Sockets are not well-positioned and an extension lead is necessary for using laptops etc from the bed. There is a small table but no chair. No cleaning, bedmaking or emptying of the bathroom bin was done during the five days I was there.
