- The rooms at the Hotel Palisade are fantastic. We had a spacious 2 room suite with a bedroom, an eating area and a lounge area. We could see Sydney Harbour Bridge from our room. The room was stylishly furnished and well equipped with a fridge, 2 sinks, an ironing board and a kettle. The location is a 30 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the Opera House.

Cons -
- It was a really hot room, with 2 ceiling fans, 1 standing fan and a portable air conditioner.. We couldn't stay here so we left.. Disappointed as we were looking forward to our visit Also couldn't access the seating areas or rooftop bar as there was a private function..
- The bar on the ground floor looked rather scruffy. This may be deliberate shabby chic but we didnt like it. The barman who registered us wasnt very welcoming. There was a lot of drunken shouting on the street outside our room late at night. Not from the bar, but some apartments across the road. Not the hotels fault and maybe a one off but double glazing would have been good.
- Fridge made a fair bit of loud noises, the room smelled a little strange, no USB/Type C port anywhere to charge electronics, no table/ chair so limited space to put bags etc
