Set on a cliff overlooking the ocean, Roca Mar features a solarium and an outdoor pool. Located in Caniço de Baixo, it offers spacious rooms with a private balcony. Hotel Roca Mar’s rooms are bright and sunny with glass sliding doors opening onto a furnished balcony. Each one has a lounge area with a plush armchair, work desk and cable TV. Roca Mar’s restaurant specializes in seafood including sword fish and octopus, all served alongside regional wines. Guests can also enjoy live music shows at the Bar Restaurant. Roca Mar Hotel is 5 mi from Madeira Airport. Palheiro Golf Course is 20 minutes’ drive away. Hotel minibus to Funchal available on weekdays (subject to availability and payment).

- friendly and polite staff good breakfast options nice view
- When I visited my friends who stayed in Roca Mar in March 2024, I liked everything- the room, the interior, the location.
Cons -
- hotel and room furniture were quite old and somehow smelly there were ants in the room 20 EUR cash only deposit for the parking remote changing the pool towels is 3.5 EUR really limited private parking without the possibility to book in advance
- In December 2024/Jan 2025 I stayed in Roca Mar 12 nights. 2 times had to change the rooms because it was not possible to live there.
