Located on the river banks, Thon Hotel Rotterdam City Center offers modern accommodations in Rotterdam. Most rooms offer views of the Maas River, the Erasmus Bridge and the Rotterdam skyline. It includes an on-site restaurant. The hotel rooms have an air conditioning and a private bathroom. Other amenities include a tea/coffee maker. Guests can request a river view. You are more than welcome to enjoy a breakfast buffet in the morning. Overlooking the river, the hotel’s brasserie has a menu with various fish and meat specialties for lunch and dinner. There is also a bar available. The Coolsingel shopping area is within 0.6 mi of the hotel. Rotterdam Central Station is 15 minutes by tram. The spectacular water taxi takes you to the other side of the Maas river in 10 minutes. It leaves in front of the hotel.

Pros +
- The location is as good as it gets. Adjacent to the river and Erasmus Bridge, within easy walking distance of the city center and EuroMast. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Location near the Holland America dock
Cons -
- The rooms are pretty small, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is postage stamp sized - but the shower was great. Decor in the hallways is dated (I understand that a remodel is upcoming).
- Price almost double what I paid two years ago, and breakfast no longer included.
